I think this has application for G+ users to get more of the information you want and less clutter. Lets you organize your posts by topic, into "collections".

For instance, if you hate most of what I say or share, but love my food posts, now you could just follow my Food Inspiration collection. https://plus.google.com/u/0/collection/gqSkb

The organization features are tedious at the moment, if you want to reorganize many old posts. Hopefully, we will see quick improvement.

Introducing Google+ Collections, a new way to group your posts by topic

Our happiest Google+ users are those who connect with others around shared interests and passions. So we set out to give people a place to express the things they love. Today, we’re announcing Google+ Collections, a new way to group your posts by topic.

Every collection is a focused set of posts on a particular topic, providing an easy way for you to organize all the things you’re into. Each collection can be shared publicly, privately, or with a custom set of people. Once you create your first collection, your profile will display a new tab where other people can find and follow your collections.

Posts in collections you follow will appear in your Home stream, with a link to easily jump right into the collection so you can get to similar content from that author. Collections give you a great way to find more of the stuff you love from the people you follow.

Collections is available on Android and the web, and iOS is coming later. For Android users, make sure to update your Google+ app to get access to Collections.

For inspiration on interesting topics, check out our Featured Collections page here: g.co/collections

Create your collections today and share what you love.

Potato-Pottata, Tomato-Strawberry?!?
I would have liked to have had them try something more aggressive, like spaghetti sauce. Their recommendations are for fresh only. Guess there is still room for adventure ;)
Strawberries are at their sweetest right now, going all the way through the summer. And while everybody knows how delicious they are in desserts, we've actually heard you can use them as a replacement for a tomato. I decided to try this out and see how well it worked.

+Leora Diakuw just need heavy cream
Crème fraîche, a cultured heavy cream, is a staple in French cuisine, and is often used in many sauces since unlike many dairy products it does curdle when heated. It is less sour and thicker than U.S.-style sour cream.

So, pretty sure it will be many years until I can get a Tesla. In the mean time, maybe I can talk +Wendy James into this.
Tesla unveiled a new product line at its design studio in LA tonight. It’s called Tesla Energy and it’s a suite of batteries for homes and for businesses. The existence of the batteries has been one of the worst kept secrets of all time. But we are here at the announcement event and finally have some details. And they’re pretty damn cool.

This isn't to whine about the conditions on this April 26th (although, naturally, I want to) Just a little archival photography.

Also, +Wendy James and +Leora Diakuw are still in Toronto and probably curious.

Power in many #yxe city neighbourhoods has been out since 4am after being mostly restored by 12am from the day before. I'm including the city feed for outages:

https://www.saskatoon.ca/service-alerts?service=service_alert_power_outages

I've turned on the gas fireplace for comfort :) it's only 0°C outside, so pipes aren't going to freeze, but it is 16°C upstairs. Chilly.

When you use a DSLR camera for any amount of time on anything but AUTO, you come to understand these concepts and the give and take between them as though it somehow made perfect sense that time slows down for you (relative to others) as you approach the speed of light. Duh!

However, if you are trying to have a brief discussion with someone who is curious, but only about 1 minute curious, this chart quickly shows the basics of how the big 3 concepts (Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO) affect a photo individually.

It doesn't show how each increase in one aspect demands a trade-off in one or both of the others. But, I suppose our 1 minute is up ;)
Learning even just the basics of photography takes a bit of work and one of the more complex ideas is the relationship between ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. German photography blog Photoblog Hamburg has a graphic explaining how it works.

Harper & Co. are bigots, in case you missed it.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper blurts an ill-considered reference to a little-worn item of Muslim dress as representing “anti-woman culture.” A Tweet under Immigration Minister Jason Kenny’s name circulates a photo of women acting in a religious rite that depicts an ancient bondage and misrepresents it as enslaved Muslim women today.

I need about one of these videos a day to keep from blowing a gasket over Harper... that and a maple doughnut

Gotta love Mary Walsh

I also love how she slips 'Crime Minister' in there not-so-subtly at the beginning

When you open the door and cross the threshold, you are off the map ;) Always a great place to browse. The more indy business gets replaced by franchise the better stores like this become. Don't go here hoping to acquire a love of the things within. This is a place for geeks with a passion to seek and to find.

What a gem of a place! They have been selling stellar pirogies here since the '90s. Tucked away right next to King George School, it's also an awesome stop for cabbage rolls, sausage and frozen soups. The sour kraut and onion pirogies blow my mind! Haven't tried cherry yet ;)
