It has come to my attention that these stories are not being auto-posted to G+ (which they should be). Sorry if I left anyone out of the loop.

In order:

City Walk - Canada Day Edition
I announced on various social media that I would be engaging in my Saskatoon City Walk again this year. Canada Day is quite a bit earlier than usual. I've always wanted to go on the summer solstice to maximize my daylight hours. The Strawberry full moon wou...

Leora got a new cook book :)

Flatbread, pistachio & kalamata tapenade, and spicy guacamole.

This was a huge success. BBQ roasted cauliflower.

BBQ on low (thermometer still climbing to 425F). Combine 1/2 c plain yogurt, 2 tbsp olive oil, ground cardamom, paprika, salt, pepper and lime juice. Smear mixture on cauliflower, place on folded tinfoil and bake 40-50min.

I had a little too much of the yogurt mix, so I re-basted every 10-15 min.

It is, though you have to look at it, because the G+ post continues to report the same number of pics (42) that it has since the initial post.

Just a quick notice for anyone interested. City Walk will take place on July 1st, Canada Day. I'm hoping to push hard enough that we can watch fireworks at 10pm as our reward :)

Possibly more details to follow ;)

For the uninitiated, here is last year's blog:

+Kent Pollard, wasn't too sure for a while. 5 cherries in as many years and suckers all over the lawn didn't seem like such a great investment in prime yard real estate. Last year turned things around. We are still eating Evans cherries out of both freezer and cold storage and this years blossoms promise to shame last year's bumper crop.

And the tree is still pretty small :)

Thanks!

Beautiful surroundings and all the necessities covered. However, the layout of this campground is not great. Outhouses, food storage/prep and especially water are unpleasantly far from the tent pads and from each other.

Zero! Really loud and rank. Sat for 8 minutes at a dirty table and nobody even glanced at us to take an order.

Meh. I had heard such rave reviews... The Cannoli was entirely underwhelming and the espresso mediocre. Good service, though.

Amazing nature and sustainability learning opportunity right here in Saskatoon. Half park, half garden, all fun. Both general public and volunteers are welcome here to participate in the process of... well... growing! Seasonal opening starting inJune... Don't miss "Weedin' Wednesday" 4-8pm
