This is probably the biggest feature update in a long time for +Google+. Essentially you now have a proper way to categorize your Google+ posts and people can follow those specific categories (or _Collections).

This is something that users have been wanting for a long time!

Read my full breakdown by clicking the article below.

BONUS: I've included a downloadable template for customizing your collections covers! Enjoy!

Once you've learned one programming language or programming tool, it's pretty easy to get into another similar one. Sometimes, though, the fine differences are hard to remember. Hyperpolyglot is an awesome tool for looking up the differences and similarities between programming languages and tools.

Funny take on a serious subject, people need to be their own advocates and ask questions to their doctors.  I had a patient who was prescribed Valium for hiccups before! A pill is not always the answer and every doctor doesn't always have your best interest in mind.

I only visited Holmdel once since starting work at AT&T, but had many opportunities to work with people who were based there over the years. It was really sad when they shut it down several years ago. And now that we're being acquired by Nokia, the spirit of places such as this seem even more to be a part of ancient history. #ft

1982 // Holmdel 20th Anniversary, a history of the legendary Bell Labs facility designed by Eero Saarinen // The Bell Labs Holmdel facility, which I visited many times in its heyday, is -- last I heard -- now essentially an abandoned wreck. A perfect poster boy for what the USA has done to its technological and educational foundations as we sold our souls to the criminal monsters of Wall Street. Note how this film discusses the massive expansion of the Holmdel facility that was nearly complete in 1982. But only two years later, AT&T divestiture hit like a nuclear bomb, and it was the beginning of the end for Bell Labs and our country's greatest R&D facilities. It's been pretty much all downhill since overall, despite the few shining lights like Google in the darkness.
