Sven the Returned is really good, as is the stuff in Metal and Other Stories.  A lot of the rest isn't so hot.

This document was created by David Bober on the old Yahoo email group - and it is a great tool for creating Soviet / Bloc based characters. He used this for his OpFor email based game - which I tried to play in twice (but as all email games go, it died down everytime I started to join).

As the fuzzy memories come back, it was an aborted game based on OpFor (I Think...). Russian paratroopers whose helicopter went down in Iran.

So cool to finally find a community for AFMBE (I had considered starting one myself until I found this Eden community).

Here is a link to a random city building generator I made years ago...

The Walking Dead has reactivated by zombie brain and I am itching to do more with AFMBE again.

Good to have you. I think I suffer from the same affliction regarding Walking Dead.

For those that would love to create their own play books for Beyond The Wall, here is a spreadsheet already formatted for use. Just fill in the blanks...

Wow, I was looking for this exact thing! I just heard of BtW and did character generation with a group, and it was the most exciting and refreshing char gen session I've done in awhile. I am eager to adapt it. Thank you so much!

Got my hard copy in the mail today, awesome. Not so awesome was the damage done during shipment. I have contacted DriveThru so hopefully I can get a replacement sent.

Anyone else interested in the Operation Pegasus II play by post (with maybe a hangout here and there)?

So far we have a Soviet Force Commander and 1 American Company Commander - many spots are available. (Or I will scale down the part we play of the operation).

Time zones are not an issue as I think most of this will be handled via posts.

Operation Pegasus II

Players needed for Platoon leaders, Company commanders, Squad Leaders, etc. This is the daring air drop behind Soviet lines in northern Iran (Tabriz AO) to disrupt Soviet supply lines and link up with Kurdish resistance fighters in the AO.

If you would like a chance to play in the game (most likely pbp with maybe a few hangouts), please comment in this thread.

Characters should be created with v1 rules and the REF Sourcebook (I can provide rules if needed or generate characters as well).

325 AIR (Falcon Brigade) was the first brigade in GULF 1 on the ground in Saudi, as it was the rapid response brigade on alert when Saddam went in. Ditto for Operation Iraqi Freedom (when I was with them. 325 was part of the initial invasion in March 2003). Because it's an Airborne Infantry Regiment, not a Parachute Infantry Regiment, it gets a lot of stick in the division. WWII airborne units had Parachute Infantry and Glider Infantry. WHen they got rid of the gliders and made them parachutist, they designated all post-WWII units Airborne Infantry Regiments. So, the other two PIRs in the Division (504th PIR (Devils in Baggy Pants) and 505th PIR (Panther Brigades)) tend to look down on the 325, but it has always done very well for itself.

3/325 has the dubious honor of being the "Blue Falcons" as 82nd convention has 1st BN "Red [mascot]", 2nd "WHite", and 3rd "Blue." For those of you not up on the lingo, Blue Falcon is also code for Buddy Fucker, someone who screws someone over, either intentionally or because they are just a substandard soldier. Brawls start when other units joke about Blue Falcons being Buddy Fuckers in their presence.

I have an excel spreadsheet that works as a character generator for 1st edition T2K if anyone is interested in seeing it. It has been years since I worked on it - so it may not be 100% accurate.

I once played a snooty-but-tough military noble from Quebec. The game took place in the Louisiana bayous.

After years of playing drums (badly), I have bought a bass. I am learning to read music again (the first time since middle school band) and playing scales. So far I am enjoying the hell out of it. (Learned a few cool riffs too).

My new toy - Squier vintage modified jazz bass...

I have a bass just like this one and it's one of the best I've played. Congrats and have fun with it!

So inspired was I by this game, that today I put a map together for future use. A small castle and its surrounding villages. In the hills to the southwest will be the Haunted Halls.
