Linux guru and geek extraordinaire
Hey, you! Yeah, the one reading the text! That's right. I'm talking directly to you! Some random dude on the internet is addressing you in his G+ profile! If that doesn't make you warm and fuzzy, I don't know what else possibly could!
You're probably here because you want to know a bit about me. Or maybe you misclicked. Anyway, whatever brought you here, you're quite a ways into reading this already, you might as well just stick with it.
I'm a freelance systems administrator for some large forums on the internet. I specialize in high-traffic systems, such as those that get over 100 million pageviews per month. I mostly work with vBulletin, Invisionboard, Linux, Apache, PHP, Perl, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Lighttpd, nginx, memcached and a bunch of other programs normal people never heard of and don't really care about as long as they can get their web page fix.
But enough about me trolling for job opportunities (I'm for hire! hire me! I need the work! I have references available!). I am also a complete and total nerd. In my spare time I enjoy doing such jock-ish things as: playing video games, collecting comic books, working on my model train set, tinkering with and modifying my HTPC, playing table-top role-playing games and watching all manner of sci-fi and documentary shows & films via my afforementioned HTPC and home theater setup.
I've lived "on the internet" in one form or another for nearly 20 years. Well, I guess that's not completely true. It's been about 15 years or so. Before that I lived on BBSes. I even ran a BBS up until a few months ago, when the 10-year-old thing finally died in a catastrophic hard drive failure. I'm still trying to find the time to set it back up.
Right, well, you've probably fallen asleep by now, or wandered off to another page. I'm sure no one in their right mind would have made it this far. Heck, even I feel a bit crazy having typed all this out. Feel free to send messages or invite me to various chats. Add me to your circles and I'll make honest attempts at posting things that are useful!
Circles You should add me to, and things I will talk about (If you have outbound circles for any of these things, please add me to them!)

I keep popular websites that millions of people visit per day accessible. Also, once I saved a baby kitten from certain death when I found it in a box on the side of a road. It lived a long and happy life with my parents.
