#honeybees

The EPA initially proposed to conditionally register
sulfoxaflor and requested additional studies to address gaps
in the data regarding the pesticide’s effects on bees. A few
months later, however, the EPA unconditionally registered
the insecticides with certain mitigation measures and a
lowering of the maximum application rate. It did so without
obtaining any further studies. Because the EPA’s decision to
unconditionally register sulfoxaflor was based on flawed and
limited data, we conclude that the unconditional approval was
not supported by substantial evidence. We therefore vacate
the EPA’s registration of sulfoxaflor and remand.

Now that winter is over, and all the snow has melted... you have to admit. It was a beautiful time. But what the hell, "On with summer!"

Excellent opinion article. Of course, no one except beekeepers will care...
Biologists have been predicting for years that we might be facing a pollination crisis, where there are not enough bees and other flower-visiting insects to go around. If this happens, yields of crops requiring insect pollination will drop, and food

It's getting scary...I've been noticing an absence of butterflies, especially the monarch. I've hardly seen any at the milkweed. Fewer bird species, crickets have disappeared...some kind of disaster is happening...I don't know if anyone else is noticing all this???

SPAMALOT is a highly irreverent parody of the Arthurian legend.  The original 2005 Broadway production of SPAMALOT won three Tony Awards including Best Musical, and set box office records.  SPAMALOT went on to international success in productions from London to Tokyo.

I've been using this for quite a while now. I recommend it for anyone! By the way... I still have plenty of raw honey for sale!

An interesting adjunct to the 5 senses... Very interesting.

Not content with the mere five senses that nature gave them, an increasing number of biohackers have turned to magnetic finger implants. But the practice of sensory augmentation need not be confined to these pioneers. Here’s why you should consider getting magnetic implants — and how to do it.

This is so cool... Yes, I like. Funny it isn't available on a Mac? (That's called sarcasm, by the way.)

Perhaps the most magical button in the history of keyboards.

This button on the newly-released ASUS Transformed Book Trio allows you to switch between Android and Windows, two of the world's most popular OS, with just a single tap! Isn't it amazing?

Do you like the idea of having Android and Windows running seamlessly together on a single device?

Story
Introduction

I have spent 32.5 years in a police career and am now moving on. I have acted in 5 plays with the Mariposa Arts Theatre Foundation in Orillia Ontario...  I keep bees! I have three flourishing hives and I am deathly allergic to them. I like a challenge. They let me steal their honey every summer, and I give them a home.

Photography has always been a major part of my life. I am a light artist.  I will wait days for the right light, the right time and the right opportunity to expose an image.

This is a great place to stop and eat in Bancroft. Well worth it! It is on the main road (east west) through town, and the menu is comprehensive and the food very tasty! I took my Mom and Aunt there for a special occasion and they also loved it! We even met some people there that we know! Do youself a favour and give it a try!

If you've never been to the Kincardine 'Gathering of the Bands' which takes place at the end of August, then I'd highly recommend you do go! The music is incredible. The park setting (Victoria Park) where the band-shell is, is the focal point of the day with many bands from all over Ontario performing there. Bring a lawn chair, sit and relax and enjoy the all day, all you can eat hot dog and corn cobs as well as the park being licenced for the day as well. Then after the 'show' is over, there is a massed band parade down the main street of Kincardine. Unlike any other parade, in this parade, the people watching join the march down the street following the pipes and drums! Incredible! Go, enjoy, you'll love it!

I've never been to a "Passport Health Travel Clinic" before, so this was interesting. After meeting with my own health care practitioner, they suggested that a visit to the Passport Health Clinic would serve us better. We were seen on time at the Clinic (bonus points) by Sharmei Coronel, RPN, who was also training another RPN to do the same work. The visit was very thorough, and we went through all of the risks and information needed to complete our entire itinerary to China and Tibet. Overall, I'd say that it is a good thing to do, and gives peace of mind to have the information and immunization to conduct our trip safely!
