this is what we get for not investing in education in this country. A bunch of kids that google images of earth and because they are not three-dimensional spheres on the pictures, the earth is flat, and suddenly the entire world is hiding "the truth". Apparently not only the USA but every other country that has a space program, and satellites that orbit earth just get to the end, and then turn around. Try this: Wake up in the middle of the night and video chat with someone in the other side of the world. Tell him/her to go outside. Why is it bright there? If earth is flat shouldn't be dark or bright anywhere on earth at the same time?

If the sun is infinitely closer to the earth than we have been told; and all the empirical evidence suggests that it is; then the sun only illuminates those areas directly beneath it, and as it circles around the flat earth, half the earth is in darkness, half in light.
This is basic flat earth theory, which you should know about, if you wish to challenge it.
And is the sun infinitely closer to earth than we have been told it is?
If you go back to basic physics, and think about the inverse square law for the dissemination of light and heat; is it possible that a sphere 93 million miles away would be able to both heat and light the earth? To the extent that we can have deserts here, whose temperatures are high enough to cook eggs? Given that the temperature even at the sun's surface is only a few thousand degrees celsius?
( Incidentally, the temperature a few thousand km above it is in the tens of millions Celsius; how does this square with the standard model of how the sun is supposed to operate? )
On an even more simplistic level; have you seen all the videos
surfacing on YT showing clouds going behind the sun and the moon?
Why do you think education has not been invested in, even for those who claim to be scientifically literate? Are you being denied the very tools you need so as to make sense of the information you are spoon-fed from childhood?

This visit to Miami was bittersweet with the death of my grandfather, but having all my cousins together for the first time in 20 years was amazing. It's like time never passed. We recreated an old photo to commemorate the occasion

All the family, in the whole world , can be reunited only with the occasion of a wedding or a funeral. It's sad but true.

My thoughts on marriage equality

Now that marriage equality is the law of the land, I see many people confused on what this means for all, so I'm here to hopefully offer some clarity to those still confused. We gained the right for our marriages to be recognized by the government. Our civil rights. We are not going to storm into your churches demanding your priests and pastors to marry us. We are not going to force you to attend our wedding. We are not here to dilute the institution of marriage. We are here to strengthen it. There's a fundamental difference between a marriage and a wedding. We are not demanding that your churches perform our weddings. We are here to get the same government recognition of our marriages and the benefits that come with it. It has nothing to do with religion.

First of all, being gay is not a choice, just like being straight is not a choice. I know because I am gay and like many people, throughout my childhood and teen years I tried really hard to be "normal" until I finally accepted that I was born gay. I had a very happy childhood with both of my Christian parents who to this day love me and support me unconditionally. With that said, we also can't choose whom we fall in love with. And isn't marriage about love? Isn't marriage about committing yourself to build a life, a family with someone you intend to spend the rest of your life with?

All we want is to be happy and committed with the person we love, and, because in the end, this is all it's about, love.

Despite initial issues, they made up for it. I scheduled a car for pickup and they never showed up. I took an uber there and the staff was very apologetic and they gave me an extra free day. I will go back but maybe I'll just show up at the place instead of ordering a pick up

Very friendly staff, very accommodating. The location is a little tricky to get to for someone not very familiar with driving in San Francisco, but I was on the expressway in about 20 minutes. Staff was very professional in a casual and friendly way. I would definitely go back there
