It would seem that the advantage on Mars is that HO2 is scarce and CO2 is abundant.

But it got me looking at CO2 turbines for use on Earth.  They seem to think it will be more efficient and take up less space and therefore possibly be cheaper.

The recycling of waste heat for space heating works great... when there is a need for space heating. This is the main reason for the relatively high cost of solar heating, the fact that in most locations much of the heat is wasted much of the year. A data center in Iceland could use server generated heat all year, though they have very cheap geothermal, but in Europe, anywhere in the US, and elsewhere there would be substantial periods where the heat would be dumped. In much of India, SEA and other warm locations there is little that can be done with low temperature waste heat.

But it is great that they recycle what they can.
