There is something to be said for having your sharing stuff all done right and up-to-date. Doesn't really ever make the prioritized list though. :)

We talk about how to write better, how to write faster, why #NaNoWriMo  works (and how I'm doing thus far), and a ton of other interesting stuff. Go listen! #productivity   #writing   #freelancing

Season’s greetings, multipotentialite friends! I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling the holiday spirit. I’m also feeling immensely grateful for all of the love and support you guys have shown me recently. As I mentioned in last week’s email, life has been a little heavy and complicated lately. I appreciate all of the kind […]

There's a huge debate among freelancers and service providers about whether you should bill hourly or per project--and one of the main arguments against a non-hourly rate is that if the project gets out of scope, you're screwed. That's very true, but can be worked around if you keep an eye on your client hourly rates by doing client audits. Curious? Read more and watch the video at the post:
Even if you haven't done the math yet, you know that all clients aren't created equal. But how do you *do* that math & what should you do next?

Introduction
Hopefully you know this is the right Michelle because, hi, hair. If not:
  • I have a Shiba Inu named Rain (which everyone thinks is a reference to actual precipitation - however, the fact is that I named her after Reynard, but didn't want to spell the shortened version of her name as "Reyn" because then I would feel like a pretentious douchebag)
  • Raphael is my favorite Ninja Turtle and I will accept no substitutes
  • I'm a big ol' geek of various flavors (Joss Whedon, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Fringe, general enthusiasm for knowledge, etc.)
  • Chocolate and tacos are high among my favorite things
Oh, you want like, srs bizness stuff? Okay:

I make systems/productivity/organization/all that incredibly boring sounding stuff incredibly NOT boring so that you + your biz can reap the rewards. Without wanting to stick a dull spoon in your eye. I’m an expert at finding out how + why something works (and then putting that knowledge to usually-good use), being grade-A curious, & getting things Done with a capital-D. I have…

  • a book that hit #1 in Systems & Planning and #2 in Entrepreneurship in the Kindle store
  • a Youtube channel where I review project and task management tools, which averages 5,500+ views/month
  • worked with six figure business owners behind the scenes and helped them take their business to a new level without stressing out about it
  • consulted for a startup that works with the Rockefeller Foundation
Tada.
