!!!! Harriet Beecher Stowe's Uncle Tom's Cabin
In the early 20th century, the story had finished it's run and became open to mass editions being printed. The market was flooded with all matters of variations from "Holiday Editions" to "clothbacked" copies that sold for as little as $1.00 (1900-1910). This particular book features an artist that was famous at the time, W.E.B. Starkweather. It was apparently the only edition of the book featuring this artists work as he produced only for Ferro Publishing. Although, there have been two variant designs have been found since by Ferro.
