Join us on Thursday, May 21, at 1pm EST to discuss how museums can best support tomorrow's learners.
Through a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), our museum is conducting a two-year investigation into the changing needs of classrooms and students and into the unique role of art museums in today’s educational environment. We are using a STEM based art infused design process to ask, imagine, plan, create, and revise solutions for tomorrow's learners. Through this hangout, we'll share how findings from the ask phase with the museum community at large to forge new conversations about the role of art museums in a changing educational environment. We'll be joined by two members of our national thought partner network, Seema Rao and Kris Wetterland, who will participate in a panel discussion about student and teacher needs and trends in the museum education field.
