Thanks for the invite, I do grow veggies, unfortunately they took a hit this winter, I'm still wondering if my tomatoes, eggplant, and peppers will live lol, oh well,, Spring time will be a new crop!

My kind of Event!

On March 8th, from 6pm to 9pm the AzMNH will be hosting a fun and science fact filled cocktail party for adults only. The cost is $10 per person, advance online purchase (at http://www.azmnh.org/foundation.aspx) or $15 at the door. Admission price includes hors d'oeuvres, and your first wine, beer, or soft drink.

Have a question for a scientist? Get answers during "Speed Dating with Scientists". Did you get a Christmas gift that didn't quite fit the bill? Bring it! You can donate it to our "Re-gifting Silent Auction", and who knows, you may just see something that you'd like to bid on to replace it! Lots of fun, games, activities, and prizes will make this one exciting, science fact filled evening you won't want to miss!
For more information, please contact Alice Jung at 480-644-3553 or Alice.Jung@mesaaz.gov.

Anyone having an End of the World party for Friday Dec 21, 2012? We were thinking of serving kebabs (easy finger food), having "Jones Town" Cool-aid, and other tasty goodness!

We're not doing anything in particular for this non-event, +Michelle Eisley  but I did want to get us out of the house, so we've got tickets for Celtic Christmas music tonight at Emerson College, most likely preceded by sushi and cocktails!

My husband and I are new to the neighborhood of Corazon Del Pueblo, and there is a darth of good eating joints in the area. This place might not look like it, but it is a great place to stop and enjoy either the $2 cocktails or even their tasty and spicy $6 Bloody Mary. I'm not a big beer drinker but they do carry Shock Top, and their food, is better than any sport's bar style place I've ever been to. Their burgers are seasoned, and stacked to perfection, there toppings always seemed fresh, and they have damn good fries to. I think this place will be a new staple, and a good meet up place for clients, friends, and family.

Excellent selection of Pho and tasty iced drinks! I had never tried Vietnamese food and I was blown away by there dishes! And I had recently gone to Australia and had tried a lot of those flavored iced drinks in the "China towns" through out Sydney and Brisbane and was happy to see that they too serve these drinks. If your strolling to a game at the UA or floating around Cambell and Speedway, park in the back and swing in for a tasty drink!

I've tried El Charro multiple times and I wouldn't call them totally authentic, when you put frozen veggies into your abondigas your doing it wrong - ok.. seriously? That is totally a bastardization of the meal, both my Nana's would have fainted if you had served that to them. Their standard fair is also kinda par for the course, nothing is really bad, but nothing stands out either. I think I would choose them over a chain food place, and there bar selection is much more authentic but I feel if you want to experience a more authentic taste there are other places to go.

A Tucson Tradition, nevermind the crowd, the presidential platter, you need to go here if not just once to try some authentic mexican food that's celebrated in this dusty town.

Blue Williow is one of the more unique food fairs for locals, snow birds, and travelers alike. It's French inspired cuisine meets with the local flare to blend into something new. A true Tucson favorite. Although if you are a picky eater this may not be the place to try to expand your taste bud horizon, however I encourage you picky eaters out there to try it..you may be surprised.

Awesome!...I don't think I'll take my vehicle anywhere else, Victor and the guys at Gibbs have pieced together my Nissan Frontier many times! Each time has not only been affordable (as I'm a Grad student with no money!), but they listen to your concerns and aren't out to up sale or do un approved repairs like some shops. I think this is the first shop in this town I've been able to walk in and not be treated like a "girl who knows nothing about vehicles," and for me that respect is worth it's weight in gold. I highly recommend them wether you own a 13 year old beat up Pick up truck or a high end vintage sports car, these guys work on them all and they are fair, honest and do a precise job every time!
