So this is the 13th species we have had in the backyard over the last few days. But, it was quiet today. The Crested Pigeons come in as a pair and feed. Then, they take off with a few Bronzewings when they are ready to go. They are still skittish but they do hang around in the trees a more often than they have.
Interesting to see how the birds come through in "waves" of species. The Galahs certainly take centre stage and all the others sit around and wait for them to leave. The Turtle Doves, occasionally, poke their heads in and grab some food, but none of the others do while the Galahs are feeding.
The Parrots (Ringnecks and Red-Capped), are very flighty. They come in and feed on occasion, but they prefer the trees and flowers at the moment. Beginning of Winter and we still have flowering plants everywhere. Even plants that should be dormant, are still flowering. Of course, the RIngnecks love that! 8-))
So, we will see what else turns up. The Ravens have flown around but haven't joined us. And, last Friday, we had 4 White-Browed Scrubwrens - that was a bit of a treat! We'll see if the images are worth posting!
