During Northern Illinois' game versus Central Michigan, Pete Rakocevic threw down a nasty two-handed jam, which must have jarred something loose on the basket stanchion because moments later, the entire hoop collapsed. And before anyone noticed it was coming down, an opposing player taking the ball out of bounds was nearly crushed, but ducked out of danger at the last second. As a result of the structure's failure, the game was delayed for a time.
Fortunately, both teams were able to finish the contest, with the NIU winning, 73-55.
QUESTION: Can you name other players that have brought down the entire basket?
