The screen capture was actually the weakest link. But it was also the first thing that I did, so I didn't know it was weak at the time. I used the screen capture tool from inside Android Studio, which I believe does let you choose a quality. Next time I will choose a higher quality.
My process was the following:
- screen capture
- write script
- record script (using Audacity)
- improve sound ("How to Make Your Voice Sound Better in Audacity" - How to Edit Gameplay Commentaries)
- Edit everything together.
The is A LOT of editing. A lot of extending frames while I was talking. At one point I had to make a shot longer with a blinking cursor, so I copy paste the one blink that I had captured and made the shot last a few seconds. I'm really proud of the outcome, there are many shots that simply didn't exist and that I created in Lightworks. :)
I also haven't figured out all the leads for the panel so it is in the bottom of the new case so I can turn it on, but overall I'm happy with it. I have some new case fans on the way so hopefully that will make it practically noiseless. I'll see how that goes in a couple of days. Here it is so far. I love that I had to zip tie the old case fan in place so the PC would boot up (it didn't think I had a case fan running).
Update: It was totally user error. I rendered 30 minutes of blank space. Back to the manual.
