Working on a new desk so to make it easier for creation, both for music and electronics. I have the monitors moved and one side created (though it still needs paint). I'm liking it so far. #homestudio #pcsetup

I've been working on a studio rack to go on my desk and this is the prototype I've built. Unfortunately it doesn't fit on my desk just yet as I need to add a bit more length. That is the next little project. That and some paint.

Working on getting better at videos with a quick run through of how I put together a couple of studio monitor stands with (mostly) materials I had on hand.

This is the title track from my first EP.

You have to ignore some of the computer hardware reference photos, but this is pretty cool.

Trying my hand at video editing.  I'm using Lightworks and have the video stitched together, but now need to work on the voice-over.  Will not be on camera for the first one as I'm not sure how I would keep the audio in synch.  Hopefully, I'll have that ready to upload tomorrow night.  Sneak peak from the project.

Attempting my first test video editing clip in Lightworks.  It is supposed to be an 11 second clip but the export is taking 4 minutes so far.  I'm assuming user error since I've used the program for all of 45 minutes.  Otherwise it says where my CPU is at currently...

Update: It was totally user error.  I rendered 30 minutes of blank space.  Back to the manual.

Trying my hand at case modding.  My first attempt is less mod than it is trying to quiet the fans.  I'm also trying to figure out the best way to photograph this stuff, but here is my attempt.

I got an HP Pavilion HPE from my son, which was an upgrade to what I had been working with.  However, the thing was loud and I had a pretty nice Antec case built for quieter operation.  So last night I had enough and took the plunge to move it over.  Let me say HP does not make that simple whatsoever.  They had these two (presumably grounding) wires coming from the mother board which required me to tear the stupid thing down to the metal frame to get at them.

I also haven't figured out all the leads for the panel so it is in the bottom of the new case so I can turn it on, but overall I'm happy with it.  I have some new case fans on the way so hopefully that will make it practically noiseless.  I'll see how that goes in a couple of days.  Here it is so far.  I love that I had to zip tie the old case fan in place so the PC would boot up (it didn't think I had a case fan running).
