I've been searching for a way to achieve inline autocomplete in an app. I have a database I can get suggestions from and I shouldn't have any problems hooking that up.

What I can't find any information on, though, is how I'd actually go about implementing such an effect. I may be mistaken but it doesn't appear to be covered by AutoCompleteTextView or similar.

Ideally the autosuggest text would appear after the cursor and with a lighter colour. If I type "a", my EditText should look something like "a|pple" (with the pipe character representing the cursor).

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!
