Some days it feels like everything is about spin. If that were true, however, we would live in a blender, and inside one of those, no decent idea would survive for long. So...what then? Is it ever possible to be ethically manipulative? It’s the first Monday of the month. That means a new blog posting! Dismiss your distractions, check it out, consider, comment, and share.

Lately it seems many people can barely focus on even watching a movie without a distraction. Read a book? Seriously: nobody seems to have the focus, considering a pervasive sense of rising tensions everywhere it seems. What happens to art when the world appears to be coming apart? Good timing: my monthly blog is now live:

In a time when principled civic action becomes a moral imperative, I present an alternative, critical view of a Western literary cornerstone, and in the process skewer self-indulgent creative expenditures primarily pursued for deluded, self-aggrandizing goals designed to for the purpose of making one feel morally important. (No pressure, right?) My latest blog offers a map to uncharted lands. Start here (and share):

The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog. It's didn't step over, or slide over, or electric boogaloo over the dog. It jumped. There's a reason an active voice matters, and there's more to the concept than simply writing a good sentence. My monthly blog just went live on the web, and it's patiently waiting for you to check it out.

Spring is the season of new things: new ideas, new loves, new adventures. That creates a challenge, however. These days culture urges us to pursue new things every few seconds, with relentless swipes and clicks of our handheld dopamine delivery devices. How is it possible to appreciate the newness of Springtime when we're stuck in an endless pursuit of something new? For answers, start with my latest blog, now live.

It's the first Monday of the month, which means the newest blog from 1AU Global Media is now live! We're living in an era where questions about what constitutes truth have become new philosophical imperatives. It's in that light that today's essay considers the tricky challenges of using false color. It's all around you, even if you don't realize it. When you see a weather radar image, do you think the clouds are really red and purple and blue? Science literacy demands you understand how false color works, but artistic literacy demands you understand it, too. Read, ruminate, reflect, and share.
