Introduction

I grew where I now live in Louisville, KY. As a kid I played baseball, rode bikes, climbed trees, played video games, tried boy scouts and Tae Kwon Do. In high school I invited Jesus Christ into my heart and began to truly live. I started a lunchtime prayer group and an outreach sketch ministry group. Instead of a normal college, I went to a ministry training school in Fresno CA.

I am passionate, not about "religion" or "church", but about a real God who chooses to love everyone in spite of our failures and wants us to know and love Him.

After returning from Fresno I met Brooke at a restaurant where I worked. We married on October 13th 2007. She is stunning, beautiful and the love of my life. I fall more in love with her every day.

We have two amazing boys. Aiden O'Neil born July 6th 2011 and Kai Jamison born December 10th 2014.  Words fail to explain the joy that they bring to our lives.  We also love our little white puppy named Angel (Bishon Frise) born October 31st 2010.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology @ the University of Phoenix. I currently work with a company that is changing the way people approach their fitness.

I am trying my hand at square-foot gardening. I enjoy spending time with my family, attending church events and learning as much as I can about technology and software development.

Bragging rights
I can boast only in the LORD. I was once an empty void but have now been made full. He has given me His grace to stand on in troubled times, a beautiful wife, two precious baby boys who bring us great joy and the opportunity to pursue work that I am passionate about.

I have a really great idea for website that would absolutely further God's kingdom. The problem is its not a church website so I don't know who would pay for it. Maybe it would work as an open source project.

So I'm glad to find a community of developers who are Christians. Would anyone be interested in having a once a week Google hangout? It could be a Bible study or a mastermind group or anything in between.

Oppose! Stop trying to regulate the internet! This kills progress & innovation.
The new rules would allow a company like Comcast or Verizon to negotiate separately with each content company and charge different companies different amounts for priority service.

There is a bill that gives any corporation and the US government the power to censor the internet--a bill that could pass THIS WEEK. To stop internet censorship, visit:

Hello! I am looking for developers who share a common faith with me and realized I was already signed up for this community (I may have started it, I can't recall). Anyways lets start to get to know each other by asking these two questions:

What's your programming story (what got you started)?
What is your current big project?

Hey Mike, FYI there's also a Coders For Christ community that has a few more members you could join.

I started learning programming in high school through classes and making games and stuff for my graphing calculator :) and graduated college with a CS degree and now work as a developer at an insurance company.

Outside of work I've made some small stuff for Linux desktops - you can look up DayJournal for Ubuntu or DayFolder or DayTasks or PS Notes. And a journal app for Android called Blip Journal. This year I worked with a composer friend of mine to make musical games you can find at calebhugo.com

Perfect example of Why bills like SOPA and PIPA are bad news. Anything that can cause these companies to have more poorly-wielded powers is a scary thing.

Our kid goes to Larry and we have have always been happy. Our kid Aiden (Age 3) loves getting his hair cut getting a balloon and watching a cartoon, then playing on the slide. He has been coming here for every cut since his first one. Last time we went the Google maps result pointed to the old location so we were late. I scribbled down the Google business link in their appointment notepad and now here is their updated listing! I think I contributed to your success then, so now here is another 5 * vote. All the attitude problems in the old reviews that I just read are non-existent. It's crowded and noisy there but that is because it's busy and full of kids! Make an appointment if you can. I can't imagine a better place to take the terror out of "the first haircut" for your little ones.
