Avalon (an Al Jolson number) but done in gypsy swing style.  Fantastic!  (My two favourite guitar players)

I manually flashed my Nexus 7 (2012-Nakasi) with Lollipop (using the ADB).  I also erased the cache after the first reboot.  I am happy to report that my Nexus 7 original tablet is faster and more responsive than when it was new.   No lag or FCs, Bluetooth and WiFi work great.  No problems to report with battery life.   The takeaway -- your mileage may vary, folks...

Followup to my previous post -- I used the factory image and GApps from developers.google.com, not the OTA upgrade.  I had been having increasing trouble with KK so I didn't want to wait for OTA (especially since I'm in Canada and the wait for upgrades is usually even longer).

Still -- the Google Nexus "open" model gives us a fighting chance at keeping up!
(It's been a struggle to keep my Motorola Droid RAZR HD -- now 3yrs+ -- up to date, courtesy of Cyanogen, not Motorola).

Drool-worthy gear.  Glad the contest is open to Canucks as well...

Duuuude!
Who knew? The connections between the old freaks, the new geeks and the modern tech titans of Silicon Valley.
Ira Basen pulls back the curtain on Silicon Valley's latest gift to the world, the "sharing economy", which has brought us companies like Airbnb and Uber.

Splendid performance -- reminiscent of Alison Krauss & Union Station (one of my favourite bluegrass groups of all time).
