Is among the 20 most beautiful lakes in the world to 17th place. The park covers an area of 33,000 hectares and includes 16 lakes in succession, connected by waterfalls.Plitvice is the oldest national park in Southeast Europa. All'interno the park there are also many caves of which only a small part is agibile.I lakes are formed by two rivers: the White River and the Black River, which flow in the river Korana. The waters of these rivers are rich in calcareous salts (mostly calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate), from the dissolution of carbonate rocks forming the geological structure of sito.Questi salts are precipitated by vegetation, forming layers of travertine , a sedimentary rock recently. Over time, these deposits forming real natural dams that act as barriers to water, growing by about a centimeter per year. At one point the water pressure breaks these natural levees, opening new paths in the ground.
This mechanism, in fact common to all the calcareous water, in Plitvice has assumed a particular importance.
The beauty of the National Park Plitvice, Croatia, is increased in the second round of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.

"Letting Go of Understanding"
It is not always for us to know the deeper meaning of everything that occurs in our life.
All of us who seek to be conscious and aware regard our experiences as teachers, and we try to discern what #lessons we are learning from the things that happen in our lives. Sometimes the lesson is very clear from the get-go, and other times we have to really search to understand the deeper meaning behind some event. While this search often yields results, there also comes a point in the search where what we really need to do is move forward. It is possible that we are not meant to know the deeper meaning of certain occurrences. Answers may come later in our lives, or they may come as a result of letting go, or they may never come.
We are all part of a complex system of being, and things work themselves out in the system as a whole. Sometimes we are just playing a necessary part in that process with a result larger than we can understand. It may have very little to do with us personally, and while that can be hard to understand, it can also free us from over-thinking the matter. Sometimes it is best to see it in terms of karma, a past debt we have been able to repay in this way, or as the clearing of energy. We can simply thank the event for being part of our experience and let it go. This completes the process that the occurrence has made possible.
To make this #lettinggo official, we can perform a ritual, make a final journal entry on the subject, or sit in meditation with the intention of releasing the event from our consciousness. As we do so, we summon it one last time, honoring it with our attention, thanking it, and saying good-bye. We then let it go out the door, out the window, out the top of our heads, or into the earth through the bottoms of our feet, liberating ourselves from any burden we have carried in association with it.

There have been a lot of comments about Sojourner since its release, mostly complaining about some of the negatives of this medal. I'm not here to talk about these.
I want to talk about #Depression and Ingress, and how Sojourner creates a positive challenge for those of us that struggle with depression.
A fair number of you know that I play pretty hard. What you probably don't know, is that like anyone with depression, my level of play is dictated by my mental state. The better I feel? The more I get out and play, and the more it reinforces this behaviour - more exercise in particular spawns a better mental state, further exercise etc.
The worse I feel? Well, I don't play at all. Will happily take a few days off and not play at all other than chewing through cubes recharging portals. Some days with depression you just won't leave the house - and no, I don't have a couch portal ;)
What does this have to do with depression then? Well, for someone with depression, it is incredibly hard to expect to maintain a long run of hacking day-to-day required for Sojourner.
But does this mean that one should ignore it and give up? Absolutely not. Whether you choose to do Sojourner is your call.
As someone that falls prey to depression, I'm choosing to accept the Sojourner challenge, because it directly challenges my depression. Getting out and hacking twice a day, ideally morning and night, is something that can be pretty hard for someone with depression. Sojourner challenges that head on.
So yeah, I'm accepting the Sojourner challenge solely to challenge my depression, and to force me to get outside every day, for 360 days. Like everything in life, it is easy on the easy days - the challenge is keeping the streak going on those down days.
I also want to challenge my Ingress friends that struggle with depression to also accept this challenge. Get out into the world every day, no matter what :)
