#2 should be more clearly labeled as a warning, not a positive. At the end: "Warning: Once you start focusing on this number, you’ll quickly see the intrinsic appeal of hiring salespeople over other personnel."

This takes attention away from ensuring continual quality in the product and ability to deliver that quality consistently as business scales. Sales are just as important as ensuring consistent quality.
