"Leonard Nimoy, the sonorous, gaunt-faced actor who won a worshipful global following as Mr. Spock, the resolutely logical human-alien first officer of the Starship Enterprise in the television and movie juggernaut “Star Trek,” died on Friday morning at his home in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles. He was 83."
In addition to acting, Mr. Nimoy directed films; published poetry, autobiographies and books of photography; and recorded music.

The Greek unemployment rate is now 25.8%, which is about the same as the US during the great depression: Bloody revolutions have been started over less. So I'd say that asking them for more austerity is crazy. If the EU and the US value Europe as a concept they should realize that this crisis is just as important as Ukraine or Syria.

Great article on PR for startups: "How you introduce your company is crucial. When it comes to startup media ingredients, the more of the ingredients you have, the bigger the splash you’re going to make."
There is a "going public" that comes before going public. It has nothing to do with stock; nothing to do with strike price or the market's current appetite for tech offerings. This going public is ...

"But one of the biggest surprises are the gun-toting legionnaires. Not only did Rome never fall in this story, a Danish weapons manufacturer apparently became a supplier of submachine guns to the empire—and a pretty cool submachine gun at that."

You can disagree with what Wes Clark says about Ukraine, but that said as someone who was opposed to the Iraq war early on you should at least read about what he has to say

i'm not a fan of conspiracy theories: but there seems to be a plot going on to ruin every show i loved that existed before 1990

My fave tip: "You need to make a great game that stands out from the hundreds of other mobile, social, online, console, and PC games coming out that week — or the 1 million games already on the app stores. If you don’t think you’ve got such a game, you might want to start over."
Here's a bunch of tips for doing game PR from someone who has heard these pitches for 18 years.

Question to my tech friends: I'm evaluating WYSIWYG theme editors for WordPress. Does anybody have any favorites?
