I don't pay much attention to kale. I don't know why people are all up on its nuts the way they are.

What worries me is if Facebook has or hasn't studied how someone might react to what they may see as being informed upon? They might actually wind up pushing someone over the edge. Looking at that interface I can see that this feature could be abused: A bully use this as a way to threaten someone.

And on larger level there's something worrying about Facebook holding that data over your lifetime. What if on a future date Facebook shares that information at some future point with potential employers or law enforcement officials? Or what if Facebook is hacked and this data is put into the public.
Starting on Wednesday, Facebook is rolling out a new feature for suicide prevention. The social media site is partnering with Now Matters Now, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, Save.org and Forefront: Innovations in Suicide Prevention, a ...

Also, employers are evil as hell when they want to see your Facebook stuff. This is why I a) do not use my real name on the internet (we weren't stupid in '90s) b) have a secondary account to show I'm not a total troglodyte to potential employers that does get updated randomly and c) I just don't use FB that much lol

Don't let anyone tell you that fashion is important!

Of course you'll get in trouble if you look like Ann-Margret.

You can disagree with what Wes Clark says about Ukraine, but that said as someone who was opposed to the Iraq war early on you should at least read about what he has to say
Diplomacy can't stop wars without military power.

This is a powerful collection of images which give you a taste of that era and that place (you can really feel the chaos) — I only wish they had included more photos.
The documentary photographer's early work captures protests, politicians, and everyday life in the early '70s.

"Leonard Nimoy, the sonorous, gaunt-faced actor who won a worshipful global following as Mr. Spock, the resolutely logical human-alien first officer of the Starship Enterprise in the television and movie juggernaut “Star Trek,” died on Friday morning at his home in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles. He was 83."
In addition to acting, Mr. Nimoy directed films; published poetry, autobiographies and books of photography; and recorded music.

The Greek unemployment rate is now 25.8%, which is about the same as the US during the great depression: Bloody revolutions have been started over less. So I'd say that asking them for more austerity is crazy. If the EU and the US value Europe as a concept they should realize that this crisis is just as important as Ukraine or Syria.
