Awesome.
You could be forgiven for mistaking these ethereal images of a cave system in New Zealand as man-made, using twinkly blue fairy lights or lamps to create the warm glow. However, not for the first time, nature has unintentionally created this incredible fairytale-like scene. The glow is bioluminescent gnat larva (or arachnocampa luminosa) living on 30 million-year-old limestone formations.

It's not that I'm not impressed with the size of the worlds; however, there is a difference between size and scope. Skyrim was wonderful, but the side quests, especially the randomly generated ones, became super-redundant after a time. I'm happy to hear that Witcher 3 is getting around that problem.

Bigger is not always better
Op-ed: Open-world games are expanding, but are they growing in the right direction?

In recent years, I've seen a lot of good things happen in my country. I hope that someday, I'll also see the abolishment of the death penalty.
The use of drugs to carry out capital punishment is putting bona fide medical patients at risk

Adorable little guy, even though it can probably already take my head off.

The elusive Kanye Fly. (He flew off after the photo to get shit-faced on liquor and interrupt Taylor Swift at an award show.)

I was talking with my girlfriend the other day, and I got curious. Has anyone else ever thrown a "sharknado" into a Rifts campaign?

There's actually a reason we don't do this anymore, involving international law. If you detonate a nuke above the stratosphere, the fallout hits everybody.
Pretty damn spectular it turns out. On July 9th 1962, the U.S detonated a nuclear weapon, dubbed Starfish Prime, over 386,000 meters (240 miles) in the sky – with an explosive yield of 1.45 megatons, roughly 100 times stronger than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.

Still, I've scanned background radiation in the past. I used to work in a radioisotope lab; we had to do it every day. It's pretty minimal.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only American freaking out for the average Greek plebian right now. This whole situation is making me question everything about our international economy.

I'm slowly beginning to think that just maybe, marketers aren't actually targeting human beings as a demographic.
Instead, they're after space aliens, which could be mistaken for a human were it not for their impossibly long legs, platinum hair, huge eyes, large breasts and super-slim stomachs. They are also obscenely rich, which is part of why marketers target them.
