So far, untitled and close to finished. It started small and grew up.
What letters three that begin and end with ‘b’ do we rarely see because we lost the need and not long ago was used to and fro in most chat so people would know that we had to go?
But not for long, usually less than a song, maybe a hit from the bong, quick get something done.
Maybe we just had to pee or grab a drink and put a plate in the sink.
How could we think that in less than a wink our patience gone in a blink, was it the lack of ink?
We never did see what happened to thee it was the end…….. of b-r-b.
Today we are here where we hold dear when the screen is clear and bandwidth is near.
Anywhere in the land with phone in our hand right where we stand like reality is bland.
So into it we stare and we can be there while breathing different air not realizing the fare.
When we get soup and when we go poop we fell for the dupe and think the real is a droop.
Our lives are pretend from beginning to end cuz we’ll never send the truth to a friend.
When we run to the store, when company is a bore, we are rotting to the core, b-r-b no more.
We've already given in cuz we're always plugged in, even at din din, committing our favorite sin.
We take that pic of what used to make us sick, some send their dick, we are descending pretty quick.
We share the vid of what that crazy guy did with no sign of restraint like heaven forbid.
Some prod and poke those that can't take a joke and they bear names like hater and troll.
Lack of respect and indulgence in self has left proper manners collecting dust on the shelf.
Being on the Net is the new road rage and we never regret the things that we say.
I’m not here to mope or put society on a rope, just pay attention you dope and give me some hope.
You’re not really that dumb, it’s really an act and you’re just fooling as a matter of fact.
I hope that’s true and not a fable in your voice, in the age of information, ignorance is a choice.
Let go of the hook and give nature a look, you can use Facebook and put your face in a book.
All I will say is maybe one day everyone will say turn off the display.
Not permanently, but tell technology, that we will b……. r-b.
