If you've never seen "The Mother of all Demos" by Doug Engelbart, here's your chance. If you have seen it, this looks like fun -- with many uses too!

My latest piece on +WPMU PREMIUM. It was fun putting WordPress on Docker.

Go get the last release candidate for Leap 42.2, test the heck out of it so the release is the best it can be!

Excited to share a story I wrote for the +WPMU DEV blog.

You'll learn about the reasons for and history of Remote Process Calls in WordPress and other blogging platforms. You'll also learn how to protect your site if you happen to like some of the tools that use XML-RPC.

It's not a fear-mongering story, with some practical advice, and a look to the not-too-distant future when the WordPress REST Application Programming Interface fixes this problem. Go check out the story. Participate in the discussion. Share the link with your networks. Let me know what you think, too.

"Structured writing is not about assisting the machine. It is about enlisting the machine to assist the writer." +Mark Baker on the Semantic Web as augmented intelligence.

There's a bunch of good and interesting ideas here. Need to catch up on this +TechWhirl series.

Nice piece from a veteran Python developer on how best to help devs deal with burnout. While +Ian Murdock may have been a little beyond hugs, I couldn't help but think of him when reading this.

Worthwhile piece. Very much like the "What, So What, and What Next" classifications. The latter two used to come under the "Feature" category, but writers who help us understand the world are intensely valuable.
