Many politicians don't seem to understand that the Internet is not only used by consumers. Nobody would do any serious online business without secure end-to-end encryption.
David Cameron says there should be no "means of communication" which "we cannot read" -- and no doubt many in his party will agree with him, politically. But if they understood the technology, they would be shocked to their boots.

- "Nein. Man muss immer zahlen" - Er geht. Was erzählen Sie denn!?" - "Was soll ich denn hier!?"

While California is facing one of the most severe droughts on record...

State officials allowed oil and gas companies to pump nearly three billion gallons of waste water into underground aquifers that could have been used for drinking water or irrigation.
In a time when California faces an historic drought, the NBC Bay Area Investigative Unit has uncovered that state officials allowed oil and gas companies to pump billions of gallons of waste water into protected...

Here's a great blog post about privacy, especially for those who think, they have nothing to hide. Quote: "What’s often overlooked, is that legal victories - such as same sex marriage - would probably not have been possible without the ability to break the law. How could states decide that same sex marriage should be permitted, if nobody had ever seen or participated in a same sex relationship?"

"When he tried to get online using his five-star hotel’s WiFi network, he got a pop-up alerting him to a new Adobe software update. When he clicked to accept the download, he got a malicious executable instead."
The hotel guest probably never knew what hit him. When he tried to get online using his five-star hotel’s WiFi network, he got a pop-up alerting him to a new Adobe software update. When he clicked to accept the download, he got a malicious executable instead. What he didn’t know was that the sophisticated attackers…

This is really one of the worst clubs I've ever been: it's small and the sound a disaster. The dance floor is sticky. The few guests I've seen were mainly tourists or criminals. When I ordered a simple orange juice at the bar, they charged 5 EUR (even red bull is only 4 and coke 3 EUR). At least you can get in for free if you arrive before midnight (Techno-Wednesday).
