Of course, no trip to Scotland would be complete without sampling the local cuisine. The attached photo shows what I had for dinner. Meanwhile, Dad tried a delicacy known here as a "burger".

Rumpledethumps are delicious!

After our round we discovered this awesome little "mini golf" course in a public park in North Berwick. We played a few fun holes but we really wished the kids (especially Kenan) could be here to enjoy it with us.

Dunbar is situated right along the sea adjacent to an old stone wall that runs the length of the course (and well beyond).

Day Two: Dunbar! This course dates back to 1856 although once again golf here dates back to the early 1600's. Today's layout was designed by Old Tom Morris, the same person that designed St Andrews and many other famous Scottish courses.

Of course, no round of golf in Scotland is complete without a glass of Scotch whiskey...

This picture was taken in the North Berwick club house, where we were granted temporary membership for the day.

Overall, the setting here at North Berwick is simply spectacular. We also lucked out on the weather, getting no precipitation -- only a steady 20-40 MPH gale, which is considered normal conditions!

Meanwhile, for some reason I was literally the only person on the entire course wearing shorts...

Day One: North Berwick! This course originated in its current 18 home form in 1832, making it the 13th oldest course in the world. However, a shorter course has existed here since the 1600's!
