He has Risen. This Easter let us remember that while the tomb was empty the gifts left are immeasurable by our standards. Let us praise Him for those gifts of grace, mercy, love, freedom, and life with the Creator that transform our hearts.

John 20. The Empty Tomb. 1 On the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark. She saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb. 2 So she ran to Simon Pet...

Freedom oh Freedom.

If you listen the most politicians these days we hear that it is a privilege. That our freedom is provided by them and they can dictate how it is manifested. But freedom is what we have the second we come into life. We are able to choose to live, to speak, and to worship as we want. Then we are free to enjoy the consequences that come from our choices. The role of government in all of this is to ensure no one is denied their freedoms.

This protection is known as Liberty. Liberty, the concept of the American dream. Liberty is freedom bound through law. It ensures that no man is free to harm another. Liberty is not the government telling us what to do. No it is telling us, that we cannot infringe on the freedom of others through our right to freedom.

Wondering how catch phrases and hollow campaign generalities capture the imagination of the american public. It was not that long ago when bold solutions came with full explanations. People from both sides would listen and then would discuss the pros and cons of said solution. How have we become so divided and so unwilling to work with each other as Americans?

We must remember that above all our country will not survive if we are so divided and partisan, and the survival of our nation depends on us the individuals. Can we revert back to the way that it was? Where disagreements were met with civility and common understanding that no matter what we disagree on our country, our state and our community depended on us to fight for the common good.

On July 4, 1776 the Second Continental Congress signed and approved what is our Declaration of Independence. Our Declaration of Independence is unique as it clearly defines the fundamental principles in which American Democracy operate. These are that government protects the rights of people, the people have the right to overthrow a tyrannical and unjust government and that all people are equal in their inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Nearly 26,000 men and women fought and sacrificed all they knew and had to fight for the liberty, life, and happiness of people they may never know about. They were out gunned, out manned, and out trained. But, they had something worth fighting for and worth protecting. LIberty and Freedom are powerful movements that cannot be contained or stopped. They will overcome and prevail over and over again as long as we have people that still believe in them.

This Fourth of July celebrate the Liberty and Freedom we have but take a moment and remember all of these men and women that allowed us the opportunity to have this Liberty and Freedom we have today. Happy Birthday America!

Days of rest like today are essential to our health. They allow us to refresh our physical body, our mental facilities, and our spiritual awareness. Our society has taken every day or time of day as a time be active. Let us remember to take time and appreciate the beauty of life through the quiet.

Been thinking today about those in this country that may still be asleep. Citizens we must wake up we must remember that it is we the people, we the individuals that made this country great. It is a us that controls the government not the government that controls us.
