In case my status updates/tweets were missed earlier today, this is a FARE ALERT! Round trip from NYC to New Orleans from $130-150 nonstop. Tough to beat that! #nola #travel #hustle
New Orleans is a blast! Enough said… This fare was published earlier today, but I haven't gotten a chance to write about it until now. Luckily, all the availability is still around! Delta is having a fare sale for LGA-MSY for $130 RT. United is having a fare sale for EWR-MSY for $150 RT.

Well ain't that a bitch! Be careful on those crowdfunding sites! #kickstarter   #indiegogo
If you were thinking about donating some money to help Spike Lee get back on his feet, maybe think twice: this guy just raised over $120,000 to make a game, and then just walked away with all the money. Contrary to what The Crowd Economy preaches, strangers can still screw you.

You throw a rock and hit 5 different Korean BBQ places standing on 32nd in K-town, but somehow we ended up here. The service was very good - attentive & friendly. The banchan was just OK compared to other Korean restaurants. There wasn't as much selection (maybe 4 types) & definitely not as tasty. My favorite (kimchi pickles) were no where to be found. The meats were great, albeit pricey. We tried a few platters and my favorite was the prime beef (of course); really tender & full of marbled fat. They also have the marinated pieces that you'd be used to at KBBQ. Overall, I don't think I'd return because, while the quality was great, I just can't justify the price. This is probably because I'm used to AYCE KBBQ at places like Picnic Garden in NJ. But know that the BBQ meats are top quality!

A REALLY small hole-in-the-wall spot on 9th where good food can sometimes be hard to find. Beautifully made paninis from an Italian guy named Jonny! Really friendly guy with a killer Italian accent. I went for the prosciutto & aged provolone with basil pesto. It was so packed with flavor that I didn't care that it wasn't a footlong sub from Subway. Good flavors will always fill you up. Have an espresso while you wait like a true Italian or if you don't want to wait 20 minutes (as it says on the menu board), call ahead or order through Seamless. All paninis come with a small bag of Lay's which is nice as I always like a side of chips with my sandwiches.

I think you know what you're getting into when coming to an AYCE buffet. POC does a decent job as far as food quality goes. There are a decent amount of choices ranging from sushi to Chinese food to American to seafood to a carving station to kids choices. As with any buffet that has a carving station, I went straight for it. Of course I want to get my money's worth! Choices are always good - skirt steak, spare ribs, prime rib, turkey. Everything I've had from that station is great. I think it's the highlight of POC. Other stations I don't care for are sushi and seafood. The quality of the sushi is, at best, on par with East Restaurant and, that is to say, average. I don't go out of my way to fill up on OK sushi. Seafood station is constantly packed as, again, people want to get their money's worth but the oysters are only OK. Obviously not the freshest anyone's ever had. The crab legs are crab legs. Every buffet has them & they're always a staple. Overall, it's a good place if you have a nice sized group that has different tastes. POC truly has something for everyone, even kids. Jack of all trades/food, master of none.

Very small airport, but very new & fresh feeling! Lots of food options, including some familiar spots if you're American (hi Burger King!). Signage is much better that Lisbon Airport (LIS). Design is much better - open, airy, you don't mind sitting around waiting for your flight to board. You wouldn't imagine this was one of the smaller airports in the grand scheme of things. Loved it. Would much rather fly into there than LIS.

Was happily surprised to find a solid Italian only a few blocks away from me in the Broadway District. There are dozens of sandwich choices but I had the #1 which was your standard prosciutto & fresh mozzarella but with a twist of a black olive spread. The briney/oily olive spread was a great change up on this classic sandwich. I'll definitely go back to try more of their combos. I could see this place turn into my go-to Saturday lunch spot.

Overall, a great Italian restaurant in northern Bergen County. From start to finish the meal was spot on. Went here with some family for an early dinner. They can cater to larger parties (we had 9) as we made a reservation earlier in the week. Great artisan bread served warm with salted butter & an assortment of olives in oil. Bread was so good we asked for 2 more refills throughout the meal. With a party this large, we got to sample almost everything on the menu. Starters: -Mussels in white wine sauce -Artichoke fritti -Panko-crusted meatballs -Burrata (special) -Cavatelli broccoli rabe (pasta ordered as app) -Arancini (rice balls; on the house) Standouts for me were the amazingly creamy burrata with balsamic glaze atop a perfectly fried eggplant & mussels that were cooked perfectly in that broth. Probably some of the reason we went through a lot of bread. The arancini were great - fried perfectly and served with vodka sauce. The cavatelli was a simple but flavorful dish; I wouldn't hesitate ordering that as an entree. Entrees: -Rigatoni pesto -Veal roulade -Veal saltimbocca -Veal milanese -Veal oreganato -Linguini with herb roasted chicken & filet mignon (special) -Mixed seafood pasta (special) My veal saltimbocca was solid; plenty of flavor with a rich sauce. A bit salty if anything. Rigatoni pesto was a very interesting dish with seared tuna & crab meat. I don't much like pesto + fish + pasta but this dish worked & was delicious. Mixed seafood was also a standout - fresh seafood & a good marinara sauce. Portions on the pasta dishes were quite massive. Portions on the meat dishes less so. Not complaining but just an observation. Service was attentive & friendly throughout. The manager on duty came by a few times to make sure we were doing ok which was a nice tough. Like I said, overall a great restaurant! This was one of my longest reviews but this place deserves it!

Decent airport. Arrived in the international terminal & the process was easy enough. Good signage. A long walk but never as far as walking through Heathrow. When we flew out, it was to Porto so it was the domestic terminal which wasn't too bad. Check-in process was very confusing with very very poor signage. You're better off just going upstairs and walking until you see the big check-in board. At least they have free wifi if you sign up! (Use a fake email)
