This is the major battle of our time and of future times. The arguments for a false-encryption governmental panopticon are hyperbole and fear mongering. The arguments against are history and  reason. The original intent of the Founding Fathers could not be more clear on the notion of limited government and supremacy of the individual; this latest round of posturing against personal privacy insults both of these values.

Wearality Sky offers this wrap-around, immersive experience for your smartphone at the price of a case. Great for games, great for movies & videos, great for the future of VR. Our Kickstarter has one day to go. Help us save the world from 2D.

Very nice post by Captain and circumnavigator Frank Taylor of the Google Earth Blog. The Taylors have seen more of the Earth than even the most enthusiastic Google Earth users! Thanks, Google Earth Blog!
It was recently announced that Michael Jones, one of the original founders of Google Earth, has left Google and is now CEO of a cool new VR glasses maker called Wearality. These glasses are unlike other VR glasses because of an ultra-wide 150 degree field of view thanks to patented fresnel lens technology.

Nice mention by Jonathan Rosenberg, all around good guy and coauthor of the best selling book, How Google Works, which is our recipe book here at Wearality. Thanks, Jonathan Rosenberg!
My friend +Michael Jones is now CEO of a cool 3D / wearable / VR / device company with a Kickstarter. I worked with Michael for years and he's a superstar. Best of luck to Wearality.

Interesting implications for YouTube here. It is a mistake to presume any bad intent in Google's part; the whole project was about imagining and creating something precious and sweet that is ideal for children. But, It is interesting how quickly even gray areas have been pounced on by a few who are looking for problems. My prognostication is that it will be very challenging to appease the already-nervous with products designed specifically for more vulnerable users, even if a product has been perfectly crafted for that group.

I feel like Indiana Jones. I found the secret indoor tennis and table tennis courts inside the Delhi airport, spanning floors 4 and 5 above the check in hall!
