Your missing the point of why people are mad about this.. Noone wants facebook as the owner of something that essentially belonged to them. The finished product was the reward from the company that took the money off the people who kickstarted it?
No multiple devices don't always mean your 2 statements.. It usually means a influx of alot of failing technology which starts off as a gimmick for a few games on different platforms and it stays that way. Again bigger companies have to tread lighter in the whole freedom department it doesn't work in the way of if you can do something you are allowed to do something.
The idea is what made it interesting. It was free for developers to develop for it. games could be moulded around it. It wasn't going to be anything other than what is was intended to be VR. Now its going to be integrated into facebook..
In any case I hope you are right in everything you say because then there is no loser. The only problem is I think we all are.... And only half because we've typed this much about something im assuming neither of us kickstarted.
