- Hi, friend.
I need to compile a library (build a DLL) using any compiler that you could know and the library I need runs at the end.
I need v0.9.3 and for using with Lua v5.3, the last versions of both.
But my interest is to know the instructions for compiling/building for repeat them when appears a new version of Lua or of lsqlite (or if any body with an older version of any both).
According to the documentation, LuaRocks is the preferred method.
Unfortunately LuaRocks does not want to get build/compile it in my PC, nor with VS not with MinGW. It seems to run fine, but a lot of errors appear (syntax errs in the C source code).
In the book "Beginning Lua Programming.pdf" [[ http://crypto.cs.mcgill.ca/~simonpie/webdav/ipad/EBook/Programmation/Beginning Lua Programming.pdf ]], in pages 405 and following, there is one way to build/compile the library, but I receive errors. I am not sure if it is because I only repeat the sentences for only build/compile luasqlite, not since SQLite3.DLL, because one of the features that I like in this library is that "I can download a binary SQLite3 library" from the SQLite.org main portal as documentation says in the section Download [[ http://lua.sqlite.org/index.cgi/doc/tip/doc/lsqlite3.wiki#download ]].
Can you help me please?
My current scenario:
Windows 7 32bits (but I want to learn to build/compile for help people to do it in Win8, Win8x, Win10 and WinXP, and I hope in Linux and Mac and 64bits, but first I need Win-32b).
Lua v5.3.2 (but I can run several .lua examples in v5.1.4, v5.1.5 and v5.2)
MinGW32 v4.8.1 (but I can use any other version of MinGW that you say me, as long as it works)
VB 2010 Express + .Net Framework v4.5 RTMRel (so says the 'About') (I mention vs if were to serve)
VS 2008 Express + .Net Framework v3.5 SP1 (so says the 'About') (I mention vs if were to serve)
LuaRocks v2.3.0 (if you know how to help me
-to accomplish what I need-using this)
If you provide me the binary DLLs for Lua v5.3.?? (and/or Lua v.5.2.??) it will be fine at the beginning for me to advance knowing the library and the language and can help to initiate to other colleagues, until I can get the complete instructions (currently I have a lsqlite3.DLL that runs well in Lua v5.1.5, but only in this).
If there lacks info, you can ask for me to provide.
