+David White, I have never seen a DUI check point here in Houston. Do they have them in Texas? I know they have the "No refusal" weekends, but either way is something like this even some what legal? Or should I have you on speed dial just in case :-)
Police have the right to hold sobriety checkpoints. 22News found out you could also have the right to refuse to participate.

Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else. Forgive yourself for your faults and your  mistakes and move on. Life is good, we are all blessed.

what are you afraid of?
There's an astronaut saying: In space, “there is no problem so bad that you can’t make it worse.” So how do you deal with the complexity, the sheer pressure, of dealing with dangerous and scary situations? Retired colonel Chris Hadfield paints a vivid portrait of how to be prepared for the worst in space (and life) — and it starts with walking into a spider’s web. Watch for a special space-y performance.

Introduction
Hey Hey!
I am Michael Gordon, I am a project manager at a small web design and SEO company in Houston (personal plug - link to our site). We design and market websites.  Being labeled as a PM at a small company basically means you need to know how to do it all. From search engine marketing to wordpress programming, I have to stay on top of my game. I have been in the "biz" for over 8 years now. I love my job and the challenges I face day to day. If you need a new web site contact me, I am sure we can help you out.

I love to add wrinkles in my brain by learning new things. I enjoy working out, running, beer, bacon and cheese; which is a complicated relationship because I have learned the more of those 2 things that I eat the more I have to work out and run...ha! More importantly I love my family and friends. With out them I am not sure where I'd be.

Love football. I am a coach for the South Houston Wildcats. Love those guys.

We Walk, We Shoot, We Show... Houston!

Was there last night for rock and bowl with some friends. It wasn't bad. Make sure you get there early to get a lane. It fills up pretty fast. Beer prices are a little high. $10 a pitcher.

We bring the family out every year to cut down our Christmas tree. Our 4 boys look forward to it every year. You can get a cheaper tree closer to home but you pay for the experience. There is something very special about cutting down your own tree. It's a family tradition. They also have crafts and decorative Christmas items.

Every year the Houston Zoo has a special event called Fest with the Beast. Its a 21 and over event from 7-11 with a concert at the end. Restaurants from all over the city show up and give you samples of food while you are able to walk around enjoying the zoo and special presentations. Dj's from the radio station 94.5 host it and announce the concert acts. I have been a couple times, this last time Sugar Ray was their musical performer. If you have the means I would definitely recommend going to this special event. Tickets are fairly high about $115 per person. But you get 2 free alcoholic drinks and all the food you can eat. Its a completely different experience walking through the zoo with the holiday lights in the trees and the absence of screaming children.

I think this place has some of the best wings in Houston. I love them. Big wings with just the right amount of spice not too hot. My wife, son and I went there Sunday afternoon after looking for something closer and having no luck. My wife posted a status to facebook and minutes later one of our close friends showed up with his family. They waitress had no problem moving us to a big table (however I would not rerecorded this on at a busy time). Great food, good service. We love it. But at busy times, Friday nights and such you can wait a while for a table, especially if you have a larger group.

Awesome art gallery, but very small. Very intimate. Not a huge amount of art, but what they do have is quite nice. I plan on coming back again.

Ordered dinner from there last night. triple meat, bacon, cheese, grilled onions and jalapenos. It was good and greasy. It did take a while to get the food, but it was a big order and I am sure nothing was sitting under a heart lamp. My onion rings were cold by the time I got them home, but they were still crunchy and tasted good. I would take this any time over any of those fast food spots.

Always big portions of good food. At this particular place the service was the best. not once did my water or coffee ever get low nor did any of the other 16 people that were with us. The waitress was funny and sweet. This was a very pleasant trip.
