I like it a lot, lots of good points and ideas. I especially like the idea of more features on people. There are so many great stories that centre around people in the car world. Designers, engineers, drivers, CEOs, owners etc.
I also like the comment about it not being a 'bigger budget Fifth Gear'. That's what's got me concerned about the rumours of Tiff Needell returning. He's a great chap, very likeable, talented and passionate about cars, but I've never seen him do anything as genuinely ridiculous and silly as the Top Gear presenters, which is part of the reason they're so loved.
I'd also add that I don't think a professional driver will work. One of the good things about Clarkson, Hammond and May was that their experience of cars is relatable. None of them are brilliant driving talents, just like the vast majority of the public. Joe Blogs isn't going to be able to enjoy a car the same way as Vicky Butler-Henderson or Tiff will, but they can probably equal at least Mr May for driving talent.
Oh, and that above all what the show needs is chemistry. The presenters always managed to come across as a bunch of mates who were just mucking about having fun. In whatever they do together, it didn't seem like they were 'at work'. It seemed like they were dossing about with a camera crew filming them.
