THAT WAS A HUDGE CLOTHES PIN!!! HOLY CRAP

Sculptor Claes Oldenburg did something similar in metal in the city of Philadelphia in 1976. It sits on a pedestal in the middle of an exit from an underground concourse surrounding Philadelphia's City Hall. See http://www.philart.net/images/large/clothes.jpg

It was the subject of a lot of humor in Phila. at the time, because the then Mayor was an Italian-American whose idea of sculpture stopped with Michelangelo. It was visible from his office, and he didn't like it, but the Arts Commission who commissioned the work was not under his control. The Mayor was not universally liked in the city, and his opponents had a good laugh.

I wonder if Professor Uysal is familiar with it?
