"Did you know that the calcium pill you may be popping contains the same chemical found in gravestones? Or that your tasty bite of bread contains gypsum, better known as Plaster of Paris? How about some toilet bowl cleaner in your cake mix? What are these nasty food and drug companies trying to do? Poison us? What an outrage, right? Wrong!"

Do you have any prove that our foods need those "great" additions ? Is the current bread better/more healthy than 20 years ago ? I think you are very short sighted in posting this. There is always 2 sides of a coin. The food babe is overdone one way, Joe Schwarcz is overdone the other way. Follow the money is still a pretty damn good advise.
Please stay healthy in your opinion ;-)

"The WSJ article would have benefited from stating explicitly that herbs are drugs. Their actions in the body are entirely pharmacological. This fact is often missed by proponents and in discussions of herbal remedies. They are drugs."

"Herbs, however, are drugs that have not been adequately studied, whose active ingredients may not be known, that contain many chemicals, with unknown pharmacokinetics, dynamics, and drug-drug interactions. Dosing is nearly impossible to standardize. Bioavailability is anyone’s guess. And quality control is highly dubious. Other than that, they’re great."

No, don't enable (OCSP) certificate revocation checking: http://bit.ly/1i7AWSP - great writeup by +Adam Langley explaining why  these online checks are basically useless. Chrome does do OCSP checks for EV certificates, but otherwise they are off by default.

If you need to brush up on certification revocation topic in general, I cover it in HPBN: http://chimera.labs.oreilly.com/books/1230000000545/ch04.html#_certificate_revocation

What. Come on you don't even have to be this dry. If you wanna be all Neuromancer about it we have several "energy fields" that are more interesting than some dumb woo because they actually exist.

We have magnetic fields, gravity fields, we even emit light. We even have ANTI fields. We damp sound. We absorb radiation. We do all sort of shit.

Chrome team is working on improved implementation of WebSocket: http://bit.ly/1f1x4Ct - mostly small things, but still, FYI... If you're using WebSocket in your application, worth taking it for a test drive (using Canary build).

#DevTools Tip: View event listeners registered on any node

Navigate to the Event Listeners pane and browse the events registered on any node. You can also view the source of an event listener by selecting Show Function Definition in the context menu.
