Seriously, #Detroit  needs to look into other options. Revitalization doesn't come at the cost of everything that makes a city worth living in.
Three bond insurers, the city's largest employee union and three European banks filed a motion in federal court this afternoon asking Judge Steven Rhodes to appoint a committee to oversee an independent evaluation of the market value of the multibillion-dollar city-owned collection at the DIA.

Given that they name European banks as one of those calling for the assessment, I believe it.

Brilliant #Photography project - strangers on a train style.
Photographer Richard Renaldi takes random people he meets on the street of New York City and asks them to pose in pictures together as if they were family members, friends or lovers.

#Detroit is on the top list twice for the 33 best pizzas in America.

Forget Chicago style. Detroit style is where it's at!

Not that I'm surprised that Netflix looks at piracy trends for its bids on films and shows...  #netflix
Netflix checks out what's popular on piracy sites when deciding what to offer.

Everybody I've seen link this has said something similar. I'm not surprised either, but it's interesting to see it confirmed.

Got a LivingSocial deal for this massage therapist and was extremely disappointed. Tried to contact 5 times via email (the only way they accept appointments). The first email received a hastily typed message stating that the appointment time was taken. All the rest of my responses trying to find a time that was available went unanswered. I'm contacting Living Social to get a refund - I will NOT be doing business with Celestial Healing.

I found the selection and help at this GameStop to be exceptional. The earlier comment about the manager, Dawn, was very rude in my book. Last time I was in the shop, Dawn helped me navigate all the versions of the game I was looking for, new and used. Ended up with a "used" copy unopened and $20 cheaper than new. If she can navigate Hyrule, then I certainly wouldn't be listening to internet guy's inflammatory nonsense.

Went here today to get parts off a grand prix wiring harness - ended up getting 3 of the same bits which the cashier laughed at and said "you have yourself a great day!" Free parts = WIN. I read the 2010 comments before I went to this place and can say besides the phone number stuff and paying $1 for entry, it was all BS. The premise here is that you go into the yard to pull out whatever parts you need; if you got the wrong parts, well, YOU got the wrong parts. As far as employees not knowing what's in their yard, I had a very helpful employee direct me to where I needed to be straight away. Cars are sectioned off by types (SUV, Van, GM, Ford, etc etc) - I found the cars I wanted to pull parts out of immediately. The ONLY place that seems to be confusing is the "foreign" section in the back. That covers quite a lot of makes! I'd go back. It was quicker than calling up every auto parts store in the state waiting for the $9 an hour cashier to figure out how the parts search works.

I had an emergency on a Saturday morning - my fuel pump quit. I called around to a few shops and they were either closed because of the weekend or extremely overpriced. I needed somewhere to get the fuel pump replaced that same day. I didn't know Belle Tire does all kinds of car repairs until I called. Belle Tire was extremely helpful. I got a quote for the pump right over the phone and I did get my car back good as new that same day! They checked out other things happening with my car - they weren't salesy, just more FYI type car maintenance stuff that I appreciated. It's nice to know BEFORE your car breaks down! The guys in the shop were great. I'd recommend this Belle Tire to anyone!
