Bringing Group-based and individualist cultures together in Agile - Your Thoughts?

Here are some of my ideas, and I would be keen on your feedback. Join the discussion!

Hi folks. Sorry about the delay in getting things going. I am trying to take an agile approach in addressing this challenge and started with the issues tied to an individualist culture vs. a group-based culture. Here are some of my ideas, and I would be keen on your feedback

"1.Question: How do we know someone is individual or group-based? First, this needs to be tested
This should be easy enough. Display scenarios and ask the people for their reaction. This is important because we need to identify if we have any transcultural people acting as the bridge
"2. Question: To what degree we spend time in getting individuals to understand their own values. It needs to be done, but that probably starts later in the process, and will be a realization path."
"3. Question: How do we get the two groups to understand the values and norms of the other group, and understand WHY the other side does things the way they do. This is important to foster understanding"
"4. Question: What tools and techniques do we have that can be used by both groups? Are there some common techniques? Here I am thinking of putting some scenarios together where one group works with a technique they feel comfortable with and the results ar handed over to the other group. The
second group uses the results from the first group as an input to utilize another technique and produce their own results. Then the groups come together and look at the final result. The hope here is that
each side appreciates that the final results would never be as good as they are without each group doing things their own way"
"5. Question: Can we come up with a way of working where tasks are performed based on a cultural fit and we use consensus to make things better than it could have ever been performed otherwise"
"6. Question: If the goal is to establish an agile way of working, how do we cover the group cultural needs and make it in an agile way. Here are the elements:
Individual: Empowerment to make your own decisions. Your opinion is valued, and I need to express it
Group: We do things together. We make a commitment to each other. We have a team"
