This is an interesting notion. What do you think, +Shannan Bond?

In line with the Google I/O two-days conference in San Francisco, NYU would like to invite developers (open to general public) and students (from NYU and other universities) to watch videos of selected sessions from the conference and interact with young entrepreneurs (about their crazy innovative ideas) from NYU. It's a great opportunity to learn more about Google's latest developer products and network with like-minded people.

Agenda:

Check-in: 8:45am
Keynote speaker: 9:15am - 10:00am
Google I/O livestream/replay: 10:00am - 10:45am

Break/Network: 10:45am - 11:00am

Speaker session: 11:00am - 12:00pm
Brainstorming session: 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Lunch: 1:00pm - 2:00pm

Google I/O livestream/replay: 2:00pm - 2:45pm
Speaker session: 2:45pm - 3:45pm
Closing notes: 3:45pm - 4:00pm

*The above agenda is subject to change. We will post details on the guest speakers in the next couple of days.

Undignified. Immature. Pointless.
Google's Android mascot seems to be up to no good as the troublesome chap, not to be mistaken with our well-behaved friend Lloyd (although he does enjoy travelling), was caught red-handed on Google Maps urinating on what appears to be the Apple logo. Google isn't shy when it comes to Easter eggs, but this entry – located near Rawalpindi, Pakistan – could be the result of someone...

+Talha Durmuş There is no offline playback on Windows at this time. There is on Chrome OS, so hopefully they'll bring it over at some point.

I recently started using iCloud Photo Library as a means for sharing photos with other iOS / Mac users. Up until recently I mostly used Google+ for this - I've been auto-uploading photos there for years. I'd like to copy my photos from Google+ into iCloud Photo Library, but I also don't wish to turn off auto-backup on Google Drive (which has taken over the photo backup feature on iOS), because A) having a duplicate backup is a good idea in my opinion, and B) Google+ provides auto-awesome and other cool features.

How can I copy my photos to iCloud but avoid duplicates in Google+ / Google Drive due to auto-backup?

I'll admit, at first I thought all this stuff about "losing" Google Voice features was nonsense brought about by people who didn't understand the Hangouts integration. But it sounds like there are actually a few features totally lost if you use Project Fi... spam filtering, synced call history, Obihai support, etc.

I guess you have to really weigh your options before taking the plunge (if Fi was even an option for you to begin with).

Here are all of the dirty details about transferring from Google Voice to Project Fi. Newer information than our earlier story.

After looking through the Project Fi sign-up process that was posted to reddit earlier today, we came away feeling more knowledgable about a majority of the service's features, but also left feeling a bit worried about how it would play with Google Voice. Because certain features were noted as ...
