Introduction
I am currently doing my post-doctoral research at Lund University in Sweden with Dan-Eric Nilsson.  For my PhD research, I studied the ultraviolet visual system of the mantis shrimp.  This beautiful and violent crustacean has the most sophisticated eye known to science.

I am also afflicted by an overabundance of hobbies.  I write about arthropod science on my blog.  I am an amateur photographer, avid hiker, geocacher, fossil hunter, SCUBA diver, and play rugby for the local men's club.

Excellent dinner! Delicious food and generous portions for the price. We had the Catalan cheeses and croquettes to start, and risotto and grilled salmon for mains. Everything was delicious, and the service was attentive. I wish I could find a place like this everywhere I travel.
