I can see keeping the V8 for where it's needed but that is almost never in a passenger vehicle.

Dodge and FCA (fiat chrysler) have announced that dodge will get rid of its hemi v8 engines on all models by 2020-2022 and replacing them with 4 cylinder and v6 engines, would you guys still buy a dodge? ☺

Stopped for a quick break at a lookout tower despite my fear of heights. I made it up one flight then came back down and took photos while my lovely wife climbed the rest.

Imagine with me an #election year where Trump is the Republican candidate and Kanye is the Democrat ... now imagine how giddy every comedian in the country would be.   #SNL  would go crazy.  Also, which would you vote for?
Note, if you like neither of these choices and want to vote for actual politicians to run your country, feel free to move to #Canada .

An excellent demonstration of #quantum entanglement with different light wavelengths to display an image with one beam that is observed by a different beam altogether:

In a physics first, quantum entanglement of two-colored laser beams created pictures of otherwise unseeable objects, experimenters report.

Despite living under an hour away, I went to #Mosport (now Canadian Tire) speedway for the first time this year because my wife won me weekend passes in an on-line contest.  I'll be going my second time this weekend because she won yet another pair of tickets.
This will be my third +Porsche GT3 race this summer, not to mention all the rest of the events each weekend.  Its a fantastic track with some great elevation changes and some very nice passing zones.  Be sure to check it out if you're ever in the area.

Gotta love watching any master at work, but there's something awesome about blade making.

Its not like they haven't lost actual live ordinance before ... but this is a bit funny (and scary).

So, umm, if you see what appears to be a 100lbs Apache helicopter missile, please call the Army.
Thankfully, M36 Captive Flight Training Missile is neither explosive nor motorized.

I could make a joke about #Terminator  or comment on poor foresight or even how inherently hackable wireless drones are, but instead I'll just let you ponder this new reality for yourself:

Pepper spray, rubber bullets and sound cannons are just a few of the weapons ND cops are now allowed to shoot at you from 1,200 feet up.

They are surprisingly cramped inside.

Beautiful inside and out, but a lot less space inside than it looks.

Tall opinionated computer guy
Introduction
I tend to think a lot, and I make a living doing a lot of computer related stuff.  I enjoy photography, coding, gaming, music and movies and spending time with my family.

See http://mikebabcock.ca/aboutme for some more of my idiosyncrasies and my personality profile.

As for G+, I post about whatever I find interesting at the moment -- I don't have anything to plug or push on anyone except my thoughts.  If I share a product or website, its because I actually value it or found it interesting.

I love photography, and art in general, I enjoy good stories, books, video games and movies.  I'm an expert in many things computer-related, including networking, Linux, programming and a variety of database and hardware thing-a-ma-bobs.

Feel free to ask me random computer questions if you see me online, I may be busy, and I may not know, but if I do I try to help out.  Mind you, if you're making money off my answers, send me some of it ;-).

Absolutely fantastic flavours, wonderfully fresh ingredients and innovative combinations. The crab cakes are unique and delectable, the fresh pasta simply devine and I could eat the Moroccan meatballs with couscous forever.
