That looks really delicious and interesting. Wonder what the olive oil powder does for the dish.

Although, we can easily agree that if 1 is full bars, and we get 2, someone is lying to us in the middle. Gotta hate that. :-/

Without a doubt the best Yoga studio in Miami, and among the best I've been to anywhere. I love it. Skanda Yoga (these are my words, you can get a better description from the website or in the studio) is a type of power Vinyasa, which has common ground with Ashtanga and also some unique features. It is based on the breath, so you'll spend a lot of time connecting to your breath and using it to move through the asana. This is a place where any level is welcome - from Level 0 to Level 3 and teacher training. Be prepared to sweat and to work hard - but you'll also see benefits to yourself and your practice quickly and safely. I'm pretty sure the owners Ken and Lina are very selective in the process of finding/developing teachers and instructors, because each one I've encountered at Skanda is awesome. It may sound like I am being overly effusive, but seriously - they're awesome. One thing to keep in mind, the 5:00 and 6:30 classes during the week are going to get pretty crowded, some people see that as a positive, and others may want to seek different timeslots. You'll see some pretty advanced Yogini/Yogi in those classes. I'm very happy that Skanda Yoga is here - and I hope they are for a long time to come. It's really an oasis of positivity and practice in Miami. They use the MindBody system, which allows you to book everything via app, it's painless, quick and works great. You can park with the valet of the building it's located in for $2.

Very nice Thai vegetarian and vegan restaurant. I suppose in Southern California close to the University is the best possible place for this place to thrive, but in any case the menu options were many and the food was on point. I would definitely be back frequently if I were in the area more often.

Good burger place, several vegetarian options as well as what appears to be good carnivore options too. Clean, ample parking, tasty.

This is the quintessential surfer/craft beer hangout. I think I literally saw Jeff Spicoli (if you're not old enough to know who that is, forget it). On a serious note, the only thing that is not awesome about this place is the parking situation, but then again what can you expect in OB and thank the flying spaghetti monster that there are no soul sucking multi-story parking garages ruining the vibe that is OB. I haven't been to the other Pizza Ports yet, but this one was fantastic albeit packed to the gills. As you probably already know there is a plethora of home brewed craft beers, as well as plenty of guest taps. Heavy on the D/I/PAs, in fact when I was there I think they had 7 IPAs and 3 or 4 DIPAs. The beer line and the pizza line are separate and there are virtually no vegetarian pizza options, unless you roll your own (which you can if you want). If I lived in OB (I'm not sure how this is possible anymore with real estate prices the way they are) I'd be there several times a week.

Welcome to the Mother Ship! I suppose if you're looking for a true small batch craft beer experience this isn't the place for you, but if you accept that Stone is a massive behemoth of a brewer (are they still considered craft at this scale?), you'll enjoy this place. It's a beautiful setting, they have a good food menu, and obviously excellent beers (although heavy on the I/PAs). If you're a true beer snob you're probably not going to like this place due to your superior understanding (read pretentiousness) of craft beer. There aren't a lot of sours and whiskey barrel aged stouts here, but it is a very nice Southern California environment to get some brew and grub. I'd be back frequently if I was in the area more frequently. I was there with a party of 6 and we got a table at prime time in a reasonable amount of time, there's ample parking as it's in the middle of an industrial park, and the menu was solid.

Standard Jimmy John's. I'm not sure if available everywhere, but this one has vegetarian options (that can be made into vegan options), which is great.
