I find it amazing that so many people don't know how to build a fire. From beach parties, to camping, to backyard fire pits, it's just incredible how many people fail at fires.
I grew up in the woods. I grew up camping. I also grew up with a wood burner as the main source of heat in my house. I can pretty much look at wood and it ignites. I'm not trying to sound like a fire snob here (is that a thing?) but, I always find it incredibly annoying when I'm at a party and the host cannot get a fire going. Eventually, my instinct get the best of me, and I slowly overtake the fire starting and maintaining duties.
When it comes to building a fire, I choose the Tipi method. Thanks Dad.
