We all know that our vehicles can make some strange noises and act "weird" sometimes. Have you ever felt silly trying to explain what your car is doing?
Well, this is a picture of an actual procedure to fix an issue... Sometimes we feel silly, too!
Bonus Question: What repair is this procedure for?

WHAT IS A CABIN AIR FILTER?
Many drivers have heard about oil, fuel and air filters, but you may not know about the filter in your vehicle that's responsible for cleaning the air you breathe - the cabin air filter. For ALLERGY sufferers, changing this filter is essential! Besides health benefits, there are performance benefits as well. Plugged cabin air filters can restrict airflow through the heater, defroster and air conditioner. If you don't know where YOUR cabin air filter is, stop in and we'll show you!

DO MY BRAKE ROTORS NEED TO BE RESURFACED WHEN MY BRAKES ARE REPLACED?
Depends... Brakes create A LOT of heat. If the rotors are warped they should be resurfaced so they are flat and clean. You want your new brake pads to seat and dissipate heat correctly. You will notice smoother braking, too. Another thing to keep in mind is the thickness of the rotor. If the rotor is too thin, there is not enough material to dissipate the heat efficiently so the rotors will need to be replaced. We believe a properly done brake job will keep you and your family safe on the road.

WHEN DO I NEED TO REPLACE THE SHOCKS OR STRUTS ON MY CAR?

Good question! Your cars ride and stability is for the most part controlled by the struts and shocks. They don’t hold the car up to keep the ride height correct. That’s the job of the springs. The shocks and struts stop the springs from bouncing or oscillating. They also help keep the car stable on braking. They lose their ability to do this slowly... so it’s hard to know by feel when they are going bad. Between 75,000 to 100,000 miles it will be time to replace them. You will be surprised by the difference in the ride and control that returns to you car when they are replaced.
