“You’re never too old to learn something new,” said 90-year-old Jake. He's one of eight seniors in the fifth graduating class of ConnectHome Nashville’s Senior Tech Academy at our Gernert Studio Apartments. This unique initiative empowers seniors with computer skills through a series of eight workshops. At this week’s graduation, children and grandchildren came out to support their loved ones as they received their certificate of completion and a new Amazon Fire table. A total of 95 senior at our Gernert Studio Apartments property have graduated from the program since it launched this summer. Congratulations to them, and thanks to our partners: +Nashville Public Library, Salama Urban Ministries and +The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee (CFMT), which provided the tablets. #Nashville #ConnectHome #SeniorTechAcademy

We have received excellent feedback from our first two meetings on a transit-oriented redevelopment district in Donelson. At the last meeting, hosted by Councilman Jeff Syracuse and MDHA, neighbors and community members participated in a hands-on exercise to help identify their needs and wants for the area. Based on resident and community feedback, we will present the plan at our third meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4 at FiftyForward Donelson Station, 108 Donelson Pike. We hope you will join us. #Nashville #transit #TOD
