The Metro is one of the most affordable and conveniently located boutique hotels in San Francisco.

Our hotel is centrally located in downtown San Francisco near the Haight Ashbury and Castro neighborhoods.

We boast 24 comfortable, clean, well-maintained and budget-friendly rooms ranging from small doubles to 2 queens & 1 double.

These rooms are an exceptional value compared to other boutique hotels in San Francisco.

We have also made many recent improvements to the building, including new bathrooms.

The Metro Hotel was rated in CitySearch as a “Best Value” hotel and has been featured in National Geographic Traveler Magazine.

My husband and I spend two nights at the Metro and we loved it. I booked the hotel last November, and when it came close to our trip, we had to move our trip two weeks from our original date. I called the hotel and they helped me to find new rooms for a cheaper price. For our first night we had to stay in a small room and then transfer to our bigger room the next day. It was not a hassle at all, after the first night we simply had to pack up our bags and leave the room keys with the front desk. When we came back, the staff moved our bags to our new room which was extremely helpful. They don't have a parking log but they will explain how parking works around the area and where you should look. We had no problem at all looking for parking if you just listen and follow the map that is given to you, plus read the signs that are on the streets. Some advise if you are visiting the city USE THE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION!!! The bigger room had a queen bed with a pull out sofa bed a large screen T.V. and an open closet with a good size bathroom. We loved our stay. If you get a room by the street it can get loud at night but it the noise isn't all night. There is a restaurant next door with open seating so that's the noise that you will be hearing but not all night especially if you keep the windows closed and after having a crazy fun day in the city, you will simply crash when you get to bed. This is going to be our spot from now on when we stay at San Francisco.

This is the place your friends and family should be staying when they come to town. Often flying under the radar of all the hotel search sites out there, call them and ask about vacancy for your dates well ahead of time and you'll get an affordable, great hotel experience in a wonderful, real SF neighborhood.

This cozy place has lots of style, very friendly service and great location. It's definitely is not cast from the usual hotel cookie cutter. The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is that the rooms were a bit small, but this was very reasonable for the price. I would totally stay here again.
