To  produce 1000′s of holes quickly and precisely in sheet metal parts the best answer is to use cluster tools. Our Amada Pega 357 CNC punch press use the cluster tools to product this pattern.

Seam welding is a continuous weld along a joint.  Seam welding is strong due to the extent of surface area that is joined by a weld. Two common types of continuous welds, fillet weld and butt joint weld.  Fillet weld is a triangular seam weld that joins two surfaces at right angles.  Butt welds are generally in a lap joint, T-joint, or corner joint.  Common when welding pipe or tubes to another surface.  Below are examples of fillet and butt seam welds: #welding   #fabrication

Stitch welding is not a continuous weld across a joint, but with gaps between welds, that looks like a “stitch”.   It’s used to prevent heat distortion and reduce welding costs. There are two common types of stitch welds, fillet weld and butt joint weld.  Fillet weld is a triangular seam weld that joins two surfaces at right angles to each other.  Butt welds are usually in a lap joint, T-joint, or corner joint, most common when welding pipe or tubes to another surface.  Below are examples of fillet and butt stitch welds. #welding   #fabrication

A variety of seams are used to connect pieces of sheet metal in manufacturing metal parts. The type of seam used depends mainly on the application; some seams are welded together, while others are made to snap together.  In either case, metal seaming requires the proper equipment and knowledge in the fabrication of sheet metal.  Pictured here are just a few of the various types of sheet metal seams. #sheetmetal   #fabrication   #forming   #bending

There are two types of hemmed sheet metal edges: closed hems and open hems. Closed hems are completely flush while open hems have an air pocket in the bend.  Hems are commonly used to reinforce an edge, hide burrs and rough edges, and improve appearance. #forming   #bending   #fabrication   #sheetmetal
