My wife took me for Father's Day brunch and I was really happy with our experience. I had the fried chicken breakfast and it was delicious and decadent. The biscuit was wonderful and the chicken was perfectly fried. My wife's breakfast plate was excellent too, but pretty standard. The space itself is very comfortable and kid-friendly. I can't wait to go back.

Cool place at the bottom of the hill. $4 oysters seem a but excessive so come when they are $1 each, Tuesday I believe. The burger was excellent. Tuna tartar could've used some more flavour and less avo but good nevertheless. This place is quite diverse in terms of usability. There's a nice outside area, breakfast, brunch, lunch happy hour and dinner items, plus beer wine and cocktails so pick wisely. Park on the street and skip the valet or tip them well.!

Every cocktail at our table (5 of them) was delicious, not too weak and not too strong. I had the burger cooked medium rare, one of the best burgers I've had.

Some of the best eggs I've had in LA. Quick seating we walked up during packed brunch hours and seated in less than 10 minutes. I think perhaps poorly planned ambiance As the tired bushes which guard the patio and shape half its wall are loitered with spider and cob webs. The outdoor seating area (which we were not asked inside or out) is swarming with flies and has a unsanitary amount of dust and debris in the air. Our waitress was extremely polite and well spoken and this was the first time someone offered to not charge me for a dish outright when it was served not as I ordered. That being said as someone else mentioned the dishes are very hit or miss. My Belgium waffle had a decent flavor but was no bigger than the largest eggo waffle stacked two high. My wife's Benedict she ranked in her bottom 5. I have personally seen her eat more than 80 different Benedict's in the last year so I dont think we will be back. If your going for drinks and don't mind any sort of temperature, or dust, or insects in your environment then it's probably fine.

Probably a great trendy place for American eats among friends. Nice ambiance & fire pits... Nothing special. I had the chef's daily special Scallop (read: one scallop served as a dish) which was ok but a tad bit too salty. Also contained what seems to be pieces of bacon in the sauce (?) I'm currently an omnivore so that's fine by me but would be cautious if you're a pescatarian since it was not listed in the description. As a side I got Brussels sprouts which relied on Thai cuisine for their flavor. Long list of craft beers (which I'm a fan of) and specialty cocktails which I will try next time. All in all - just another restaurant... Nothing special.

I haven't been here since my previous review, and when work brought me into the area, I figured I would pick up lunch where I remember having a great burger and fries. Fast forward to today, and the experience has dropped considerably. The fries that used to come with the sandwiches are no longer; they are an additional $5. I would have put that in my other review if that had been the case, but it wasn't as of then. I am glad that the hostess brought this up to me though; I wouldn't have expected this otherwise. The Mess Burger that I asked to be well done was maybe medium-well, and I basically ate $6 worth of that $11 burger. As for service, I only dealt with the hostess, but she was one of the better parts of this place. She did forget to add my fries in after I told her I would take them, but this ended up not delaying my food any longer than it needed to be. Besides that, the fries were still pretty good. For this part of town, the prices are still ridiculous but it continues to bring the people in, especially if you're here for the Greek theater not too far away. I have fond memories of this place being good, but memories they'll stay...just like summer camp. You're glad you went, but would you really want to go back now?
