The simple arts of romance is dying out. Instead of people sending cards and flowers they send e-cards and flower gifs

What I'd give to one day open a letter and it not be a bill or some form of advertising, but a letter from a friend wishing be well or a post card from a family member wishing I was there with them or a lover expressing his desire for me.

The conveniences of the internet has stripped away the value of communication. It's too easy, we're sloppy, lazy. Don't even write our own poems anymore, just copy n paste from Google.

Had a good time at CBSN this morning. What's that? You missed it? No problem.
CNET's Iyaz Akhtar joins CBSN with more on whether the gadget can live up to all the hype surrounding it.

First, I am your classic couch potato. If there is a way to move less, I know it and use it. Exercise as a habit has never come easy for me and at the same time, I have a love affair with food. Just not a good mix! I am greatly overweight and most definitely out of shape – I am easily winded going up a small flight of stairs and I’m only 36. One of my coworkers/friends recently mentioned she was going to try kickboxing and that we should do it together. So, against my better, lazy-girl judgement, I signed up for the trial set of classes. I went in for my first trial class very adamant that I wasn’t going to end up joining because I loathe strenuous exercise, especially in a group setting, but I promised myself I would at least give the class a fair chance for my friend’s sake. The first 15 minutes of my first class were ROUGH! It’s some high-intensity cardio meant to get your heart rate up quick and my heart is way out of shape! Luckily, on your first day you get a personal trainer to help you through the class. My trainer for the day, Taylor, showed me modifications so I could keep my body moving without reaching over exertion. After the cardio is when the kickboxing started. Taylor broke down the punches and kicks for me, corrected my form as I tried the moves out, and she encouraged me to keep going when I started to falter. Also, our class instructor had lots of positive energy and words to keep us going! I found myself actually having fun during class – I had never punched anything before now, so hitting a bag for the first time was a bit of a rush! It was a great stress reliever and as it turns out, I love doing the roundhouse kicks! For the first time, in a long time, I actually felt energized and excited by a workout instead of bored and worn out. I immediately wanted to do it again…. And that is how I ended up signing myself up for 65 classes! So, I say, if you are on the fence about cardio kickboxing, give it a go for at least one class – you may surprise yourself and actually have fun!
