Are you doing a June Whole30? Almost all 200 of the recipes in my index are compliant. You can get them all here -- http://theclothesmakethegirl.com/recipes-index/ -- the ones with an asterisk are not Whole30 friendly, but everything else is good to go. Happy cooking!

My recent trip to Miami for the BlogHer Food conference has inspired a few new recipes -- yuca fries and a creamy, comforting Brazilian seafood coconut curry. While you're waiting for me to get those recipes together, here are some photos of our other adventures. http://theclothesmakethegirl.com/2014/05/27/sand-sun-story-photos/

ADORBS! Crazy Clown Eggs from +Michelle Tam   I have some hb eggs in my fridge, and I am definitely not too old to play with my food. http://nomnompaleo.com/post/89854861117/crazy-clown-eggs
Henry’s the artistic one in our relationship—not me. I’ve been called tricky and sly, but never crafty. (See what I did there?) In fact, when I started popping out kids, one of my worries was that I’d...

New recipe on my blog: Grain-free Kale Granola! Nuts, raisins, dates, coconut, cinnamon, and YES. http://theclothesmakethegirl.com/2014/06/02/grain-free-granola/
Grain-free granola with the addition of kale! It's homemade salty-sweet, satisfying, paleo goodness.

New on my blog: The killer tip that makes sure your zucchini noodles are never watery. http://theclothesmakethegirl.com/2014/05/27/basic-zucchini-noodles/
With a little patience, ingenuity, and zucchini, you can have all the joy of noodles without the troublesome anti-nutrients of grains.

Story
Introduction
I lift heavy things and run. I cook. I eat clean. I make music. I read. I write. I meditate and do yoga.

Some people think I wear too much black – but it makes me happy to dress like a spy who might need to outrun a bad guy. I am grateful for leopard print, black eyeliner, big black boots, and fringe.

I almost always want to look pretty, except when I'm training. Then I want to be badass and breathe hard and keep my vow to never cheat, never quit.

Five favorite things: my husband, sports movies, lousy truck stop coffee, bear crawl, and Jane Eyre.

Check out my books Well Fed: Paleo Recipes for People Who Love to Eat, Well Fed 2: More Paleo Recipes For People Who Love To Eat, Living Paleo For Dummies, and Rollergirl: Totally True Tales From The Track.
Bragging rights
I write a recipe column for Paleo Magazine on the history of traditional, international cuisine.

I've been a gym rat for upwards of 20 years. I've done it all: aerobics studios, yoga, power lifting, CrossFit. When I moved to the Upper Valley a few months ago, a friend recommended I check out KDR, and I'm so very happy that I did. Since joining KDR 90 days ago, I've reduced my body fat, increased my muscle mass, and started to un-do some long-term aches and physical imbalances. In addition to those measurable results, I'm also enjoying the intangibles. The gym has a great vibe and everyone I've met has been friendly and motivated. People at KDR work hard and do their best -- but there's no judgment and no intimidation. It's a fun, inspiring environment. Great music, tons of equipment, plenty of space and light. I LOVE my customized workouts and feel very motivated to go to the gym 3 times a week. I can feel myself improving and that work is recognized by the coaches -- which always feels good. Whether you're a long-time exerciser or are trying to find your inner athlete for the first time, KDR is an excellent place to start working on your goals.
