Excellent summary of new features and what they mean for the classroom.  About a 10 minute read.
It is coming on Sept 17 for everyone with an iPad 2 or newer. So, what's new? See below :)

Does anyone have super cute patterns/ideas for making hats that range from barbie doll size to ones that would fit on an orange?  I make hats for www.calvinshats.com and know there are several other organizations like it out there.  Crowdsourcing patterns for this would be a great idea, I think.

With all the attention on coding for kids in educational circles, this article is a great perspective on teaching programming thinking via handcrafts.  Gives me renewed interest in teaching my daughter (almost 6) how to crochet this summer.

Notability is free today on the App Store!  It's TOTALLY worth downloading.  My favorite note taking app for the iPad!

I came up with a stitch all on my own, but I can't imagine that I'm the first one to have done it.  Basically, you chain an odd number of stitches then on the next row you alternate dc and sc starting and ending with the same kind of stitch.
Is there an official name for this stitch?

Another Ed Tech Story for you.  This time we interviewed Katie Lawyer from Chavez about technology in her Lit Squared classroom.  Although I didn't get good student footage, what Katie has to say is something I know you'll all find valuable!
Know a teacher in our district you'd like to see interviewed?  Leave their name here and we'll take it from there.

Want a little inspiration?  Check out what Kelsey has to say about technology in her classroom!
In Salem-Keizer, we are creating Ed Tech Stories - filming teachers who use technology well and sharing with you what they do and how they think.  Take a look at this video of Kelsey Daniels, a 4th grade teacher at Battle Creek Elementary.  In her words, "Just go for it!"
